An Italian Destination Wedding In A Castle With Hints Of The Middle East
Every now and then, Bride Club ME receives a real wedding submission that takes place outside of the UAE. Today’s dreamy wedding was sent to us by Monica D’Ovidio of Weddings on Demand, who are destination wedding planners based in Italy. We were immediately struck by Monica’s passion for creating beautiful weddings and were even more enamoured when Monica pointed out that it was today’s glowing bride, Giorgia, who introduced her to the BCME website.
Set in the grounds of the fairytale-esque Castello Boncompagni Viscogliosi in Giorgia’s hometown of Isola del Liri, this incredible wedding embraces both Giorgia’s Italian heritage and groom Munther’s Jordanian roots. As you can see from the images below, the celebration had a historical, regal air, and featured plenty of greenery. We absolutely adore the pineapple centrepieces and the rich texture of the various different details. Read on to find out how Monica helped to create such a unique atmosphere, and discover why she loved this particular wedding so much. Enjoy!
A Note From The Wedding Planner
They say that love has no boundaries, and this wedding certainly reveals the saying to be true. With a scent reminiscent of Middle Eastern incense as well as candles, the wedding of Giorgia and Munther was an intriguing mix of the Middle Eastern and ancient Italian history. Weddings On Demand had the honour of planning this incredible celebration that literally aroused all of your senses.
The wedding was held in Giorgia’s hometown of Isola del Liri, an Italian town in the region of Lazio, Frosinone. The venue was the Castle of Boncompagni-Viscogliosi, a fortified palace of the 12th century, which guests could enter by crossing a bridge on the river.
Giorgia wanted her wedding to combine both Italian and Jordanian cultures. The word ‘ananas’, written in both Italian and Arabic, was the perfect theme to seal this union. Small gold ananas fruits were to be found in the wedding stationery which Giorgia personally made.
The wedding dinner was held in the castle’s main hall, featuring frescoed ceilings from the 12th century. Tropical plants, protea flowers and thousands of candles created a unique atmosphere where the history of the Middle East and the Italian castle met with the modern botanical trend of this past wedding season.
The love between Giorgia and Munther is a unique way of showing how everything can be conquered through the understanding of different cultures.
