BCME Celebrates Its Fifth Anniversary At Bombay Bungalow
A cacophony of colour, culture and cuisine collided to mark Bride Club ME’s fifth-anniversary last week. Taking place at the absolutely gorgeous Bombay Bungalow in JBR, the luncheon saw an intimate gathering of some of our most loyal vendors who have supported us and shared in our success throughout the years. Read on to find out more about the celebration, and to see the images kindly captured by Enchanté Studios. Enjoy!
The theme of the event was ‘old Raj’ in a nod to the beachside venue. With stunning reclaimed wood features and trees inside the restaurant, guests were only too keen to get Instagram happy, such was their surprise at this newly discovered gem. To enhance Bombay Bungalow’s features and to add pops of vibrant colour, gorgeous orange blooms were arranged by Franzie’s Flower Design, contrasted against blue-green vases that matched the décor of the venue.
Our super talented stationery vendors Creative Box designed invitations and signage for the event, as well as the beautiful menus and place names. These were then skilfully put together by E-Walls. As you can see from the images, the overall effect was absolutely breathtaking and showcased just how creative and gifted our vendors are.
Guests mingled and enjoyed refreshing mocktails upon arrival before taking their seats to enjoy a casual multi-course meal provided by Bombay Bungalow.
Starting with soup, a delicious feast was served which included vegetable samosas and sprouted moon chaat as starters. The friendly staff also catered to vegetarians amongst the group and everybody agreed that the food was absolutely divine. The main courses, of which guests were able to sample a little of everything, included cashew crusted veg kofta, burrata butter chicken and prawn biryani, all served with a selection of naans and rotis. We seriously don’t think there was a single person who wasn’t completely full after so much delicious food, and everyone agreed that they wanted to come back again.
After taking our time over lunch, the BCME team cut a gorgeous cake provided by Spontiphoria, before guests investigated the selection of teas on offer by Newby Teas, which included their wedding range. Peppermint was a popular choice for guests who had perhaps slightly overindulged during lunch. Newby Teas also provided everybody with a super cute gift bag full of different types of tea, which would make for perfect wedding favours.
There followed a short break before Bombay Bungalow brought out plates of desserts, which most guests somehow found room for. Our favourite was the coconut rasmalai, which was heavenly! After a little more chatting, guests slowly made their way home with their Newby Tea goody bags.
