This week we have the privilege of showcasing Rachel Horrocks D’Gama, owner of Lasya Intimates DXB. Below, Rachel tells us all about the gorgeous lingerie on offer through this fabulous online portal, and how she can help brides to feel their absolute best on their wedding day and honeymoon. How long has Lasya Intimates DXB been established and what can you offer brides-to-be in terms of wedding and honeymoon lingerie?

We opened our (virtual) doors to the public in January of this year. We have a dedicated bridal collection and offer swimwear too, so it’s the perfect portal for both wedding and honeymoon attire.

What made you decide to work in the fashion/lingerie industry?

I’ve been a creative person since I was little. My background in fashion and textiles homed my creative drive towards the fashion and textiles world, I just love fabrics, textures, and detail.

What do you love most about your job?

There are so many things I love about my business. My aim is to bring a little piece of happiness and instill confidence to every single one of my clients, so when I see them walking away with gorgeous, well-fitting lingerie that’s beautifully packaged, it gives me immense job satisfaction.

I am there as much or a little as the client needs me. We sell online but we can also visit a client’s home for one-to-one fittings. Being able to offer such a personal service is what really important to me, and I feel that brides especially love this service.

Tell us about some of the collections available that are particularly suited to weddings…

We have an entire catalogue dedicated to bridal lingerie, from corsets and Swarovski encrusted bras to silk robes. We are constantly adding to our bridal offering.

Why is lingerie so important on a girl’s wedding day, and how can Lasya Intimates help a bride-to-be to feel and look her best?

Lingerie is the foundation of your look; whether you wear our pieces under your dress or slip into it a little later, you want to feel beautiful and amazing on your wedding day on every level, and the lingerie is no exception!

Most of my bridal clients book one-to-one fittings with me and we build a relationship from there. We discuss their needs and I offer them a personal fitting; then we through the various options together. I guess the personal service I offer helps build both trust and confidence. We develop a good rapport and in turn, that creates trust.

If you could give one piece of advice to our readers (brides-to-be) what would it be?

Enjoy the process! I see so many brides super stressed about their big day and forget to enjoy the moment.

We have a range of lingerie available; we have bras starting from AED 290 upwards.
