♡ The Datai ♡
Malaysia is a country where most nationalities here in the UAE can enter without a visa, or can acquire a visa upon arrival. It’s also a very convenient destination for last minute honeymoons.
Langkawi Island is on the small side, but is big enough for you to enjoy activities such as trekking or sightseeing.
On the north coast of Malaysia is the legendary, and recently fully refurbished ‘The Datai‘ hotel; a jungle paradise set in a 10 million year old rainforest, right on the beach. There are many different room, suite and bungalow types of accommodation you can choose from on the island, but I would suggest the beach front bungalow complete with your own private pool; perfect for the ultimate honeymoon experience. Couples can enjoy the most beautiful, soft sand on a semi-private bay, with the only thing you can see for miles being other paradise islands far in the distance. The rest of the world pauses while you stay here.
The service at this hotel is out-of-this-world amazing and the spa offers some quite special rooms and treatments for newlyweds.
The restaurant options are fantastic too, as is the food, and if you feel like exploring the island you can do a number of day trips from here that the hotel staff will gladly help you to organise.
Cost: Rooms start from USD $700 per night, Beach Villas start from USD $2000 per night.
Top Tip: Try the 4-hour Romance Spa Treatment – A Ramuan Journey!
A Gift For You: A surprise gift! (Must Quote Bride Club ME).
♡ COMO Cocoa Island ♡
This little slice of tropical heaven is set in the heart of the Maldives. To be fair, there is no ‘one perfect hotel’ here because there are so many that can fit your style or budget.
I like COMO Hotel because it’s one of the smallest, most stylish resorts in the Indian Ocean, offering only 33 villas with private pools. It embodies understated elegance and laid-back romance. The likelihood of encountering many families around you is much smaller here, and this is really what honeymooners are looking for; some peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of planning a wedding.
The famous spa, COMO Shambhala Retreat, has an open-air yoga pavilion and four treatments rooms for your luxury spa sessions.
For food, there aren’t many restaurant options here, but the cuisine changes every day and you can also enjoy in-room dining in the comfort of your private villa.
Cost Factor: Starting from USD $1000 per night including breakfast & dinner (in low season).
Top Tip: Experience an underwater light show at COMO Cocoa Island’s house reef with their UV night snorkeling activity.
A Gift For You: A Como Shambhala aromatherapy gift and daily fruit basket. Plus stay five nights or more and you’ll get a bottle of champagne on arrival. Or stay seven nights or more and sunset fishing will be included (Must Quote Bride Club ME).
♡ Amanwana ♡
Another Island Atoll can be found in Indonesia, boasting more than 17,000 islands. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the Flores Sea is the small island of Moyo, and here you will find the barefoot luxury resort of Amanwana.
Set against the backdrop of the lush jungle foliage are the Permanent Tented Suites, offering every bit of modern luxury you can imagine.
After a few nights island bliss, the adventurous and sea-proof honeymooners should take the famous Aman Voyage on one of their 2 ships. Luxuriously decorated, with amazing food and service, you can go on a journey to Raja Ampat, or the Komodo Dragon Islands for up to 5 nights. Divers amongst you will find some of the best diving spots here too.
Cost Factor: Starting from USD $650 per night including meals from the island resort.
Top Tip: Explore some of the other islands while you’re there! Indonesia boasts amazingly beautiful places, including Bali.
A Gift For You: A bottle of sparkling on arrival (Must Quote Bride Club ME).
♡ North Island ♡
Looking for an ultra-luxury honeymoon? Then this is the island for you…
The Seychelles are well known for their beauty, but most people are only aware of just 2 or 3 of the bigger islands on offer…
North Island can be reached by helicopter only and is so much more than a luxury holiday destination – It’s a way of life. The perfect fusion of energy and relaxation, of indulgence and wellness and of luxury and giving back. It is all about you and your perfect island moments. With only 11 villas available, you can imagine that it never gets too crowded here!
The villas are beautifully designed with luxury, rustic, barefoot vibe, and the restaurant caters to everything you could ever want or need. In-villa dining or romantic dining for 2 on the beach, are the most popular dining options here though.
For those who get bored easily you can use the bikes each villa provide, and explore the island, or hop on another helicopter and fly to Praslin for the Day.
Just look at the pictures and you will see why I think this is the perfect honeymoon island!
Cost Factor: Starting from USD $8000 per night including all meals, all drinks, water and land activities, 1 massage per day, yoga, scuba diving & laundry.
Top Tip: The entire island can be exclusively rented for weddings!
A Gift For You: For stays of 5 nights and more, we will pay for your 1 x one-way helicopter transfer (Must Quote Bride Club ME). For 7 nights stay, we pay for both transfers.
♡ Bawah Reserve ♡
Somewhere between Singapore and Borneo, this private island reserve puts you right into full-on relaxation. It’s a little bit of a lengthy process to get here, but once you arrive, you will appreciate the serenity and seclusion.
Enjoy days of sun-tanning, snorkelling in the lagoons and exploring the island when staying at Bawah Reserve.
There are a few restaurant options to chose from, and of course, an open-air spa to indulge in some relaxing treatments.
The Resort has only 35 suites, some over-water, so it will never get too busy here. This is almost like Robinson Crusoe Island…Just the luxury version!
Cost: Starting from USD $2000 per night.
Top Tip: Easy to combine with a few days of city life in Singapore so you can enjoy beach and city life whilst enjoying your honeymoon.
A Gift For You: A bottle of sparkling on arrival (Must Quote Bride Club ME).
