Call us biased, but here at Bride Club ME we happen to think Dubai is one of the most magical places in the world to propose, or in fact, be proposed to.
If you’re visiting the UAE in the coming months and you’ve been thinking of popping the question, or perhaps you’re in search of a destination for your big proposal plans, then we’d like to offer you 7 reasons to propose in Dubai. From glorious weather, to iconic landmarks, to incredible activities for all the family to enjoy, we hope you’ll add Dubai to your list when thinking of places to get down on one knee…
Enjoy!
♡ Location & Weather ♡
Dubai, the UAE’s second largest emirate, is located in the Persian Gulf. The city’s unique geographical location boasts a strategic position which allows Dubai to connect to all local Gulf States, as well as East Africa and South Asia. A direct flight to Dubai from London is only around 6 hours, from Moscow 5 hours and Beijing 7 hours. In fact, unless you’re travelling from the USA or Australia, where flights will be anything from 10 – 16 hours, Dubai is a super convenient holiday destination for couples looking for some Winter sun, without having to travel long haul. The best months to visit Dubai are from October to April, where highs reach 26° – 30° and the weather is quite frankly, perfection. And let’s not forget…If you’re planning to pop the question outside (and why wouldn’t you in Dubai!) you’re guaranteed good weather.
We would advise not visiting Dubai during the Summer months though, as the humidity can reach up to 100% with temperatures of 41° plus. It really is just too hot to go outside, even for five minutes. However, with that said, there are some fantastic Summer deals on offer during this time, and some couples don’t mind having to mainly stay inside as the city has so much to offer in terms of indoor activities. There are also some beautiful indoor venues to consider for your proposal if you don’t mind braving the heat and visiting during the Summer months.
♡ Iconic Landmarks ♡
From the Burj Khalifa, to the Burj Al Arab, The Palm, Dubai Creek, and The Dubai Fountains (to name just a few), this city is not short on spectacular, iconic landmarks! Imagine getting down on one knee and asking your beloved to marry you against the backdrop of the world’s only 7-start hotel, the Burj Al Arab. Or perhaps you’d rather experience an underwater suite at the lavish Atlantis Hotel, yes that’s right, underwater!
And don’t worry if your budget does not allow for such extravagance, you can still incorporate a Dubai classic into your proposal such as The Dubai Fountains, which can be viewed completely free of charge. The Beach at JBR, or Dubai Marina Walk at night with its glistening Dubai skyline, are also beautiful options for a memorable, romantic proposal. Whichever Dubai landmark you choose for your proposal, we know you’re guaranteed to make your future Bride feel ever so special and completely swept off her feet…Just remember to have someone on standby to capture the moment!
♡ Something For Everyone ♡
Dubai has endless restaurants, hotels and hidden gems to suit everybody’s style and taste. From candle lit dinners on the beach, to something a little more adventurous such as a private helicopter ride, here are just some BCME suggestions for your Dubai proposal:
- Desert Safari
- Dubai Miracle Garden
- Pier Chic at Al Qasr
- The Farm at Al Barari
- A Private Yacht
- Dolphin Bay, Atlantis The Palm
- A Private Helicopter Ride
Dubai is also famed for its stunning hotels. Whether you’re looking for something with a traditional Arabic style, or something modern and chic, or perhaps you’re looking for five star luxury glam, Dubai will have a hotel to suit your style and most importantly, your needs.

♡ Multicultural ♡
Dubai is one of the top 5 multicultural cities in the world! The city is made up of 84% expatriates with more than 200 nationalities, and is one of the most diverse cities on the planet. And thanks to this incredible mix of nationalities, cultures, languages, beliefs and celebrations, you can enjoy cuisines from every country you can think of! You can literally eat your way around the world whilst visiting Dubai.
If you’re planning to pop the question next year, be aware that from October onwards for 6 moths, Dubai will be the home of Expo 2020, which is set to attract 25 million people to the city. This will be an extremely exciting time to visit the UAE, and thanks to Expo 2020, will offer you and your Bride to Be a wide range of activities to enjoy that you may not have the chance to on another visit.
♡ Endless Activities ♡
In the lead up to your proposal, or post proposal with your new fiancé, Dubai offers endless activities for you to enjoy. Ski Dubai, Theme Parks, Water Parks, Dubai Opera and Hot Air Balloon Rides, are just a few of the most popular activities the city has to offer. If you have time, you can also visit the UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi, which along with other five Emirates (there are 7 in total), are just short car journeys away from Dubai.
Dubai is home to the world’s largest shopping mall, The Dubai Mall, along with plenty of other luxurious shopping destinations perfect for couples who love to ‘shop ’til you drop!’ The city also boasts over 11,000 bars and restaurants, including Michelin Star and Celebrity Chef Restaurants, and many iconic bars and eateries from around the world you’re bound to recognise. So if your idea of the perfect holiday is eating out every single night, Dubai will not disappoint and you’ll be spoilt for choice!
And for couples looking for adventure and fun in the sun, Dubai’s beaches offer amazing water-sports activities, many of which can be organised by your hotel.
Rest assured, you will never run out of things to experience and enjoy in this city!
♡ Safety ♡
Just this year, Dubai was ranked as one of the top 10 safest cities in the world, and it’s residents would definitely echo this statement. This news could be really beneficial for couples that may wish to visit Dubai with small children. Many of the city’s hotels offer five star nanny services, which make it easier for you to enjoy some quality, romantic time together as a couple.
And for couples wanting to enjoy Dubai’s buzzing nightlife scene, rest assured that most residents feel safe leaving their bags on the table unsupervised for most of the evening, not that we would ever recommend this of course, but it gives you an idea of the laid-back atmosphere the city offers.
From the minute you land in Dubai, visitors feel welcome and safe. What more could you ask for!
