The Pink Pamper Package WINNER
Wedding concierge company Aghareed contributed to October’s breast cancer awareness campaign by paying special honour to a survivor of the disease. Aghareed recently announced the winner of its luxury Pink Package, a special, tailor-made pampering service the UAE-based bespoke wedding concierge company was offering to a woman who had battled the condition.
The deserving winner was Aileen Ante, a Philippines national who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2013 and fought the condition until she was given the all-clear earlier this year. Her full day of indulgence commenced with a massage, followed by a beauty treatment and professional hair styling at De La Mer Day Spa. She was then driven to Enchanté Studios for a delicious tea party (set up and styled by The Purple Chair) and a photo shoot to capture her glamorous makeover. Along with sharing the gorgeous images below, taken by Enchante Studios, we speak to Aileen about her wedding plans, beating breast cancer and hear a more about her ‘Pink Pamper’ experience with Aghareed.
How did you hear about the Aghareed ‘Pink Package’ competition?
The Director of Breast Cancer Arabia, Ms. Elizabeth Reyes informed me about the competition. She knew that I am engaged to be married too, so I entered the competition and kept my fingers crossed. I then received a phone call from Ms. Tatiana from Aghareed who informed me that I had won!
When are you getting married and where?
I’m planning to get married in Dubai and the tentative date is March 26, 2015. I can’t wait!
What was the ‘Pink Pamper’ experience like?
The Pink Pamper experience was amazing and the set up by The Purple Chair was so pretty. I felt special & beautiful. Honestly, I still haven’t gotten over the experience. Whenever I see my photos by Enchanté Studios, it makes me smile and brings me joy!
What are you looking forward to the most on your wedding day?
I can’t wait to celebrate the day with my husband, family & closest friends. We have so much to be thankful for and to celebrate.
What are your plans for the future?
After my experience, I told to myself I need to stay strong. I have my family, friends & my fiancé who have stood by me. It was November 2013 when I had my surgery. After a month, I went for Radiotherapy and had daily sessions, the daily sessions lasted beyond a month. Right now, I have maintenance for hormonal treatment and still to have follow up every 3 months.
I have faith in god and I think there’s no obstacle I can’t overcome after everything I have been through, so my plans are to keep fighting and to keep faith. I urge all women to regularly check themselves and seek medical advice ASAP if they have any concerns.
Thanks Aileen. We wish you all the best with your wedding plans and for the future, you are an inspiration!
