Nigerian Wedding at the Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi

Today’s real wedding comes from our friends Bindi and Bernie over at Bernard Richardson Photography. We love the bright and colourful garments the guests are wearing at this exquisite Nigerian wedding, hosted at the Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi.

We also adore the genuine warmth and love emanating from the gorgeous couple, Chi and Ola (from the UK) – their wedding video, produced by Dubai-based videographers Morning Jacket Films, is a tear jerker! We are delighted to feature their wedding on BCME. Below, Bernie shares his experience of photographing this gorgeous couple. Enjoy!

This was a really fun wedding, with some of the best dancing I’ve ever seen!

The bride Chi first contacted me back in November 2014 to discuss her wedding plans. Like many of our clients, Chi and Ola live overseas, and so we did not have the pleasure of meeting up until a few days before their big day. However, Chi and Ola were super organised and planning their wedding was an absolute breeze. 

The day itself was a fabulous, happy celebration of love! Right through from the preparation to the last dance, this couple did not stop laughing and smiling, and it was clear how in love they were. The beautifully dressed guests had come from all over the world to be with Ola and Chi and there was a real sense of family and community.

Bindi and I also loved the beautiful venue, The Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi, a perfect choice for a larger wedding celebration. The Ritz Carlton team, led by Samah and the lovely Mennat from Cloud Nine Weddings, did a fantastic job ensuring that all went smoothly on the day.
