By The Sea: A Destination Wedding In Ibiza

Today’s real wedding transports us to the Mediterranean, or more specifically, the island of Ibiza, thanks to videographers Loud Cinematography. This beautiful, bohemian-inspired wedding took place in September last year, when Isabelle and Simon, from Zurich in Switzerland, opted to have a destination wedding that would allow them to bask in the warm glow of the late summer sun.

This video forms a contrast to most peoples’ impressions of Ibiza. From the sound of the waves at the beginning of the film to the natural landscape and breathtaking track used to accompany the magical imagery, the bohemian vibe is apparent throughout. Our gorgeous bride Isabelle wears a stunning dress that is accessorised perfectly with a pretty flower crown, whilst groom Simon keeps it simple in neutrals. This intimate wedding, which featured forty guests who all wore white for the occasion, was tastefully captured by Sascha Lautersack of Loud Cinematography. Below, Sascha explains how he ensured that Isabelle and Simon’s memories of their special day will never be forgotten. Enjoy!

 A Note From The Videographer

Isabelle and Simon got married on their favourite island, San Antonio in Ibiza, which they visit around two or three times a year (so it was only natural that they decided to tie the knot here). There was this idea to celebrate in the warmth and in this magical atmosphere. They wanted something casual, easy, relaxed, ‘beachy’, with holiday, hippie and Boho vibes, and they found it here. There was also Jean Michel (the guru of their ceremony), who, like our couple, is from Switzerland and has lived here for a long period of time. When they met him, Isabelle said, it was clear for them: ‘Here and with him.’

I met Isabelle on a shoot some time ago. When she told me she was getting married in Ibiza and would like me to capture this special moment, I said, “I’d love to come but tell me when”. Luckily for me the wedding was on a Sunday and I could make it (I had a wedding the day before and just flew in on the morning of their wedding day). It was so magical and felt so different to most weddings I capture – it simply was a day to remember.

My favourite part of the wedding was this unforgettable outdoor-sunset-shaman-ceremony that not only felt so remarkable and so suitable to this wonderful place but was also unique in its form and shape.
