Make-Up Bag Must-Haves

Today’s beauty post from BCME expert panel member Natasha Zaki of Glossy Make Up is all about her make-up bag must-haves. Not exactly 100 per cent wedding focused, but we are girlies, after all, and these must-haves are great essentials to take along to any pre-wedding occasion, such as the bachelorette or engagement party. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed reading my last article on how to pick the perfect lipstick for your big day. This month, I want to discuss what beauty must-haves to put in your make-up bag!  

Firstly, I simply can’t go out of the house without Make Up For Ever’s HD Powder. It mattifies your skin instantly and adds a bit of coverage if you have lost some during the day. Another alternative is MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix foundation powder. If you want a powder to blot your skin, but don’t want any coverage, you could always try the MAC Cosmetics Blot Powder in Medium. This shade seems to suit all skin tones from fair to deeply tanned. For darker skin tones, Dark and Deep Dark shades are available, but being only 2 per cent pigmented, there isn’t much difference.  

Another beauty must-have is a lipstick that can also be used on the cheeks! I LOVE the YSL Kiss and Blush in shade 9. It’s a pretty pastel pink and looks lovely on the cheeks too.  

Lately, I’ve ditched the black kohl eyeliners and have been keen on brown shades inside the eye. It’s a softer look, so I recommend you try it out! Keeping a brown eye pencil such as Teddy by MAC in your make-up bag not only allows you to turn day make-up into a nighttime look, but it’s also hard to go wrong with a brown pencil as it’s easier to blend.  

Not wanting to weigh my make-up bag down too much, I only ever bring these three essentials with me. I hope this helps simplify your bags!
