An Engagement Shoot By The Sea 

We met wedding photographer Maria Sundin a while back over coffee at MORE Cafe and immediately clicked. Maria is a vivacious character who is full of ideas and creativity – so much so that she is one of the few wedding photographers we know in the UAE who actively blogs about her craft and the industry. A Note From The Photographer

I am an elegant Arabic woman with lush, long brown hair. I work for a really cool company, and I always look effortlessly chic… Well, a girl can dream, can’t she?!

After meeting engaged couple Reem and Rani, who are among the coolest duos in Dubai, I decided I wanted to get in touch with my inner Arabic princess. I told my hubby I’d need to dye my hair brown and sign up for some serious beautification, including maintaining perfectly manicured nails at all times. He, of course, just nodded, and said my thin Swedish hair looked great on me and he appreciated my attempts at putting on makeup every other week.

So, as always, I continue to run around the city like a bag lady, gripping onto my falling camera bags, with my flash-stands and reflectors dragging behind me. I’m not sure if I’ll ever look very elegant, but I’m hoping bride-to-be Reem’s effortlessly chic style might have rubbed off on me a bit.
