How long has Le Méridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre been established and what makes your venue unique when it comes to hosting weddings?

Launched almost 39 years ago, Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre is located minutes away from Dubai International Airport and just 10 minutes away from the center of Dubai. Spread across 38 acres of lush landscapes with impeccably designed recreational spaces, the hotel renders a resort-like feel where guests enjoy world-class hospitality and personalised service. The architectural language of the resort reflects European design references, with luxurious, contemporary interiors, making this urban retreat the perfect setting to host a wedding.

The dedicated Events Hub team helps to perfectly execute your dream wedding, and depending on the scale and guest-list we have different venue options at Le Méridien Dubai. For weddings that have a guest list of more than 1000 guests, our Great Ballroom is ideal. The Great Ballroom was launched in 2015 and has a dedicated, private entrance that separates the space from the main hotel lobby, creating a private experience for invitees. Designed with a high ceiling, spacious bridal suite, and Majlis, walk-in closet, and showers, the Great Ballroom is fully equipped with live show kitchens and a pantry facility to entertain invitees with bespoke, personalised services.

The Falcon Ballroom offers an intimate yet versatile space for celebrations with a guest-list of more than 500 people and serves as the ideal spot for weddings, engagement and henna parties.

Alternatively, the Wasl Ballroom can be booked for more intimate celebrations of up to 150 guests and is equipped with elegant, high-end facilities and personalised services to make your celebrations more memorable.

What made you decide to work in the events and hospitality industry?

Being a people person, I love to meet new people from different nationalities and domains; and my forte lies in the organising and execution of diverse tasks. The hospitality industry has granted me ample opportunities to exercise my skills and it’s always an exciting experience to ideate with the team months in advance to execute a successful event, celebration or wedding.

What do you love most about your job?

My job allows me to interact with clients from different nationalities that are eager to make Le Méridien Dubai a part of their celebration. Managing different teams may seem a challenge to some, however, to me, every day at work is a new, exciting experience as we always have some event to plan or execute. The euphoria when an event that the team has been labouring over for a long time is executed to perfection and goes on to be a memorable experience for our clients is unlike any other.

Do you have any excit­ing weddings happening at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre soon? What have been some of your highlights of the past season?

We have several VIP weddings lined up for the coming season, especially after Ramadan.

Recently, we hosted a destination wedding and the bride and groom were based in Delhi and chose Le Méridien Dubai to host various different wedding festivities over three days.

The bride to be will be working with an experienced and efficient Events Hub team who will plan every detail of the wedding festivities to create a magical celebration that lives up to the expectation of our guests.

Delegating tasks and timely planning will take the pressure off your shoulders and brides-to-be will be able to stay stress-free on their wedding day. Lastly, it is a once in a lifetime experience, so take time to enjoy it with your family and loved ones.
