This week we have the privilege of showcasing Jessica and Justine Kokorian, co-founders and corporate event directors of French destination wedding planning company Encre d’Or. In their interview, Jessica and Justine provide us with an exclusive insight into their company, tell us all about why they work in the industry, and share with us some of their favourite places to get married in France. How long has Encre d’Or been established and what makes you different when it comes to planning weddings?

Encre d’Or started organising memorable events one year ago. Our added value is most probably our style; born and raised in different parts of the world, our mix of Occidental and Oriental styles makes us different and increase our collective imagination. We love to create new designs by mixing flowers, fruits and materials. We have no limit.

What made you decide to work in the wedding industry?

PASSION! Sisters’ ambitions meant that despite coming from different fields, we share the same goal: Encre d’Or. Jessica is corporate oriented, and Justine is our destination wedding planner. We both work with passion and are so excited each time we design weddings. Making dreams come true, seeing happy people, organising their day – this is our motivation.

What do you love most about your job?

We love to organise, design and plan weddings but what we love the most about our job is creating new projects for each wedding. Every newly engaged couple has a different style and so this is an opportunity for us to be creative, share new ideas and share a new “love story”.

What makes France such a great place for a destination wedding?

Every country has its own heritage, but France has something special.

First, we have Paris. ‘The city of love’, very famous thanks to movies, songs, and at least one of your relatives/friends that have been there for a special occasion (proposal, engagement, birthday…)

Then, we come from the French Riviera, which is a summer hot spot for all the newlyweds. We celebrate weddings at least four days a week from May to September. Sunshine, a sea view, farniente and cicadas songs; welcome to South of France!

And that’s not all. As well as our croissants and macarons, our history is very popular. We can’t enumerate all the castles, charming residences, succulent restaurants and many other facets of France that push us to the top ten destinations visited by engaged couples. It’s a huge list!

Tell us about some of the regions where brides may like to hold their wedding…

Most of our brides would love two special destinations. Provence for its lavender, honey and amazing skyline, and the French Riviera with particular cities like Saint Jean Cap Ferrat and many more.

Describe the experience a bride-to-be will have when hiring Encre d’Or for her wedding…

We are here to make your big day a memorable one, with no stress and only happiness. We take care from A to Z and assist you until your Wedding day.

We make one team with the Bride and the Groom and enjoy seeing their happiness during that day. If you work with passion, you can only succeed in each and every wedding you plan!

How do you manage trust from your clients? After all, it is the most important day of their lives…

We are very transparent with our brides, meeting them, talking to them and showing them who we are and what are our values are, making them feel comfortable with us. We look for the same target, to make their day a memorable one.

If you could give one piece of advice to our readers (brides-to-be) what would it be?

Do not neglect the role of a Wedding Planner. She is here to think about and organise all the elements of your wedding (coordinating and scheduling with suppliers, timing, to deal with last minute cancellations…). It is important that she takes away your stress and helps you with details that you won’t have time to think about on your big day.

What budgets do you cater for?

We are able to cater our services to a range of budgets. For example, a bride may wish for a destination wedding which is all-inclusive, or may only want the wedding and hotel elements. We have different packages available and it is always best for a bride to discuss her specific needs and budget with us.
