This week we have the privilege of showcasing Nathalie Henry, Lifestyle and Events Manager at Arabian Ranches Golf Club. Below, Nathalie provides us with an exclusive insight into hosting weddings at Arabian Ranches Golf Club, and shares with us what she loves the most about her job.
How long has Arabian Ranches Golf Club been established, and what makes your venue different when it comes to hosting weddings?
Arabian Ranches Golf Club was established in 2004. The club is nestled in the heart of the Arabian Ranches Community. The location makes it unique as a club, as we are surrounded by over 4,500 residents. We offer stunning indoor and outdoor wedding venues to cater for every taste. The Baker-Finch Room features an expansive outdoor terrace, accommodating up to 150 guests. The impressive driving range can be tailored to suit any occasion, accommodating up to 1,500 guests, providing the ideal setting for special celebrations on the greens.
The newly launched Water’s Edge is a beautiful venue by the lake, which is over 1,500 square meters in size and can accommodate up to 600 guests. It offers breathtaking views of the fairways and the sparkling lake, making it ideal as a reception and ceremony area for weddings. What makes us even more unique is our team of culinary experts who can tailor any menu, no matter what the request is. As a team we will make it happen.
In addition, our packages can be adapted to suit each couple in terms of price and the package elements, such as the set up and menu. Our aim as a team is to create a memorable day for our guests. We listen carefully and take every detail mentioned by our guests seriously to ensure a seamless event, handling every request with expertise.
What made you decide to work in the events and hospitality industry?
The hospitality industry has always been my passion since childhood. While I was at Hotel School studying my Diploma in Tourism Management, we were involved in organising various events as part of our studies, and I knew then that this was what I wanted to do.
What do you love most about your work?
I love absolutely everything about my work! I love the team, I love the brand I am working for and I am proud to say that I made the right decision to be where I am today. The best part of my work is meeting newly engaged couples, knowing that they have trusted me to handle one of the most special days of their lives.
Do you have any exciting weddings happening at Arabian Ranches Golf Club any time soon?
We always have exciting weddings at Arabian Ranches Golf Club because we can accommodate all kinds of events, whether modern or traditional celebrations. We had the pleasure of working with one special couple, from their engagement party, bachelor’s gathering, wedding, baby shower to their first anniversary party, as they were so impressed with the venue, service and quality offered. Recently we handled a Nigerian wedding successfully. It was a unique wedding, from the menus to the set up, and it was such an exciting challenge and experience for the whole team.
Describe the experience a bride to-be will have when hiring Arabian Ranches Golf Club for her wedding?
Out of this world! The venue offers relaxed and beautiful surroundings that every couple wishes for, whether they are having an outdoor or indoor wedding celebration. We have a super team who go out of their way to make every wish a reality. We have the right equipment to cater for any wedding celebration, which makes it easier to handle any type of occasion.
How do you manage trust from your clients? After all it is the most important day of their lives.
I gain trust from my clients right from the very first meeting. As an experienced Lifestyle Events Manager, I use my success stories to create unforgettable experiences. I learn from our shortcomings in previous events to ensure that everything is done to perfection the next time. Communication is key, and I involve the guest in every step to ensure that they are well informed and understand what’s going on. I have organised a lot of successful weddings and I use that as a tool to win my client’s heart and trust. A wedding day is very special, unique and unforgettable for everyone, and at Arabian Ranches Golf Club, this is serious business!
If you could give one piece of wedding planning advice to our readers (brides to-be) what would it be?
Plan your special day early and make a list or a mood board of all the things you need to organise so that you can cross them off as you go along. Choose the right person, a person you can trust, who will work with you from the beginning to the end. Ensure you get along with your wedding organiser, and feel free to share all of your ideas. Make sure that you are involved in every step, but also have time to relax and enjoy life with friends and your hubby to-be until the big day.
