This week we have the privilege of showcasing Katia Enkiri and Zeina Abou Jamra, co-founders of Jive Events. Below, Katia and Zeina provide us with an exclusive insight into their company and their approach to events, as well as sharing with us what they love the most about their job.

How long has Jive Events been established and what do you do?

Jive Events was established in 2014 and is a Dubai based wedding and event management company. We love to create and perform our clients’ life celebrations with flair, mastery and passion.

What do you love most about your job?

On a personal level, our satisfaction stems from the fact that we live in a country that supports entrepreneurship and allows us to follow our dreams and unleash our creative side to develop events that match our client’s fantasy. When it comes to weddings specifically, nothing is more rewarding than seeing the look on our bride and groom’s face on their big day and feeling the satisfaction and knowledge that despite all the hard work we were able to create a day perfectly crafted for them.

Do you have any exciting projects planned for the future?

Each wedding we plan is treated as an exciting project as it is a reflection of the couple themselves, and is a totally new experience and challenge for us. In the coming month, we are working on two completely different weddings that bring with them their own individual challenges such as cultural considerations and the unique nature of the weddings’ themes.

Describe your approach to events…

Jive is a boutique agency and we give each bride our full attention. Our approach is very personal and we always start with our couple’s story, vision and dreams for their big day. We like to focus on the details first and work our way up to the whole to make it dreamlike, or rather, a reality.

Why might a bride and groom make use of your services, and how can you help them to create a day to remember?

We enjoy getting to know our brides and grooms, in order to understand their vision and feelings about their BIG day. At the heart of it, we consider ourselves a trusted partner, a confidante. We are always devoted to giving our clients an unmatched personal experience within their budget, and we work closely with the right suppliers to guarantee competitive prices with the highest quality.

What budgets do you cater for?

We have different packages catering to all budgets.

Do you have a favourite wedding ceremony and/or reception location in the UAE?

There are many amazing venues in UAE and an engaged couple can have a lot of choices regardless of whether they want an indoor, beach or garden wedding. To name a few, we love working with hotels on Palm Jumeirah such as Waldorf Astoria or Kempinski. We also enjoy working at Al Qasr and The Address Hotels.

If you could give one piece of advice to brides-to-be planning their weddings in the UAE, what would it be?

Wedding planning can be a very overwhelming process; to enjoy it and guarantee a stress free experience we highly recommend hiring a wedding planner. Think about what is important for the two of you and how you and your guests want to feel on your wedding day, and keep the rest for your wedding planner to worry about.
