Get To Know The Wedding Pro
Every week, we will be shining the spotlight on our Bride Club ME vendor club members, allowing our readers to learn more about some of the best wedding vendors in town. Here, we’ll bring you everything you need to know about the people behind the businesses we recommend hiring to make your wedding day perfect.
This week, we hear from Reem Mofti, Managing Director of our wonderful photo booth vendors, Laugh-A-Minute. Photo booths are a fantastic way to get some less formal snaps of your wedding day and are also a great way to keep your guests entertained whilst you are off having those all important couple and family pictures taken. Below, Reem provides us with an exclusive insight into the company and the wedding photo booth options available, and shares with us what she loves most about her job.
When was Laugh-A-Minute established, and what do you do?
Laugh-A-Minute photo booth was set up in mid-2013 in Lebanon. We do all kinds of private and public events that vary from festivals to weddings to birthday parties to even bachelor[ette] parties. We are pretty much responsible for giving that extra boost, so we take it upon ourselves to break the ice anywhere we’re hired with the help of all the random (and sometimes customised) props that you can possibly imagine.
Are your services available throughout the UAE?
Yes, they definitely are and here is the scoop: we are also available throughout the entire world. We were even hired for two events in Italy and Switzerland last June.
What do you love most about your job?
We haven’t had a single bad experience to the present day because it’s all about our attitude, our love for what we do and the satisfaction we get from peoples’ happiness. Some even wear props that they never thought they would wear and the look on their faces after their picture gets developed is so satisfying for us. Our favourite part of all of this is the fulfilling feedback we get from our clients.
What is the process involved if a couple wants to book a photo booth for their wedding? How far in advance should they book?
First they give us their dates, and then they choose the package most suitable for their event and budget. Depending on the package we’ve agreed on, it usually takes a few days for the final result. Our design team puts everything together. Finally, when we get the approval and everything is ready to be printed and set up, it’s just a matter of having everything ready a day prior. We prefer it that way.
Booking with us is extremely simple. Our contact information is available on our website www.laugh-a-minute.co, our Instagram and our Facebook page. It’s always best to email or call us a week ahead so that we have enough time to satisfy your needs and be ready.
How do you customise the experience to suit each couple/wedding? Please give some examples.
Our clients are presented with three packages:
- The photo booth + hundreds of random props that we already have.
- The photo booth + 2D custom-designed backdrop and the props.
- The photo booth + 3D custom-designed setting (examples: built-in swing, mini-stage, bird-cage, flowers, etc) and custom-designed props as well as the standard props.
All of the developed photo strips are custom-designed depending on the event’s theme. The entire album is then uploaded under the event’s name and date on our social media after the clients approve them. However, if somebody does not wish for his or her photos to be uploaded, we completely respect their decision and we make a note of it.
Photo booths are becoming very popular. What sets you apart from the competition?
We at Laugh-A-Minute don’t consider ourselves only as a photo booth that just sits there at an event and waits for people to come. We enjoy inviting guests at the event we’re at because people forget how great it is to put on a prop and be silly. It’s liberating and vital to us that anyone who takes his or her photo with us remembers the enjoyment of the process.
Technically speaking, our photo booths are touch screens that come with cameras that are 18+ megapixels. The pictures that people take with them are waterproof. We offer printed and digital packages. We build a friendly connection with our clients and are very flexible with how we work as long as we get the work done!
Have you ever had any unusual photo booth requests?
Not really, no. We actually encourage unusual and creative briefs from our clients. The more uncommon it is, the more creative we can get.
We had a wedding of 350 people. The bride wanted us to design a 3D set up with roses all over so we decided to fix 500 red roses all around our booth and its backdrop. We also added a very wide swing in front of the camera that had room for three people, which we hung on a designated tree behind us, so that people could sit and have their pictures taken (after getting propped-up of course!). It not only looked absolutely beautiful, but imagine working in a rose-scented environment. The flowers smelt incredible and the aroma perfumed everything, even around the booth. It was unforgettable. The bride’s guests, who took pictures inside and outside the booth, were delighted with the outcome.
Certainly it was a romantic setup, so there is no limit to how creative we can get.
What tips would you offer our readers to make the most of having a photo booth and getting everybody involved?
We always encourage positivity and good vibes. Everybody likes those so just have fun with it and let go. Wear as many props as you can and show off your good side! Don’t be shy and step right up. We’ll take care of the rest. Our assistants will be at the venue interacting with your guests and encouraging everybody to get involved by creating an exciting and entertaining atmosphere.
Finally, why did you decide to list with BCME?
When we came across your stylish website and linked up with BCME founder, Rhiannon Downie-Hurst, we were instantly hooked on this modern and professional, yet down to earth and interactive online wedding porthole. After only hearing good things about this concept, we wanted to be a part of your growing family. We want more and more brides to know about us through this rising hotspot.
