Get To Know The Wedding Pro: Love Details
Each week, we shine the spotlight on Bride Club ME vendor club members, allowing you, our reader, to get up close and personal with some of the best wedding vendors in town. Here, you can learn more about the people behind some of the businesses you may be using to make your wedding day perfect!
This week we have the privilege of showcasing Menka Bhatia and Preeti Shahpuri, directors of Love Details. Below, Menka and Preeti provide us with an exclusive insight into their company, tell us all about why they work in the industry, and share with us what they love most about their jobs.
How long has Love Details been established, and what makes your company different when it comes to planning weddings?
We have been actively planning weddings for over five years now and Love Details has been in operation since February 2016. Our approach to our clients is very personal. We usually meet the bride and groom and/or their families and get to know their story, tastes and style in detail so that we can design their wedding exclusively for them.
Each wedding is so personal and should exude the personalities of the bride and groom. In addition to keeping their style in mind, we are also very aware of clients’ budgets and ensure that we pay close attention to their budget during the entire design process. We are a customer focused team where no demand is too big or small and we are always available to answer all our clients’ queries. We’ve been told by clients that we give them a high level of personal attention and time and are very quick to respond to all their questions, which makes them feel comfortable and looked after – something every stressed out bride needs.
What made you decide to work in the events industry?
Menka has been involved with events in the UAE since 2008 and has seen the local event industry evolve. She studied marketing and advertising and has further enhanced her event knowledge by obtaining a Diploma in Event Management. She stumbled into weddings by planning a friend’s wedding, and then another and so on, and fell in love with the world of wedding planning.
Preeti hails from Delhi and used to head the wedding department of a well-known wedding planning firm there. Wedding planning, styling and design consumes her.
What do you love most about your work?
We are a highly creative team that loves theming and styling events, and we find the creative process in this industry very satisfying. The whole planning process, including coordinating and meeting with different professionals from various industries presents a vast number of learning experiences – we are constantly learning something new and growing, and that is extremely exciting. No two days are the same as no two events are the same. We relish the thrill of creating an entire event from the initial discussion of a concept until we bring it to life – all the brainstorming, designing and creating (and of course several levels of stress): we thrive on it and believe we perform best under pressure.
We also love that our work is extremely personal when it comes to client relationships. We spend so much time planning and conceptualising with our clients that they always end up as friends. We always attend to our clients personally and ensure no information is lost in communication. At the end of each event, the smiles on our clients’ faces are very rewarding.
Do you have any exciting wedding projects happening soon? What have been some of your highlights of this season?
We’ve had an extremely busy wedding season and have planned such diverse weddings. The season started off with an intimate beach wedding ceremony with just the bride and groom and the bride’s mother and was one of the most touching ceremonies we’ve held. In contrast, we ended with a four-day Pakistani wedding extravaganza that had over a thousand people in attendance at each event, including several political figures and celebrities. This was a destination wedding where all the guests flew into Dubai from around the world and the entire multi-day wedding was planned by us over a period of twenty days.
We’ve got a few lovely destination weddings lined up for the next couple of months and each one has a difference sense of décor and vibe to it. We’re excited about bringing all our designs to life!
Describe the experience a bride-to-be will have when hiring Love Details for her wedding…
Our process is quite simple and uncomplicated. We usually discuss the scope of work and the couple’s expectations for their wedding and structure our fees accordingly. Once we’ve zeroed in on the style and budget with the bride, we take her through different design and entertainment options that would suit her big day. Here on, a dedicated planner (either Menka or Preeti) is assigned to the bride and is available to answer all her queries and give advice whenever needed. This makes life easier for the bride as she has only one point of contact – the planner – who will handle all her requirements from décor, stationery design, sound, light, and entertainment to guest services and transport if required.
Next, we continue with the venue visits and design process for her big day in addition to solving any other vendor requirements that she may have. On the day of the wedding, one head planner is always present during the entire wedding set-up and also during the wedding celebrations until the last wedding highlight is completed.
How do you manage trust from your clients? After all, it is the most important day of their lives…
A large part of our client’s trust is gained when they see our work and the level of experience and professionalism we can share with them. We also achieve this by being completely transparent with our clients. We are very honest with them and share a very realistic view of what their expectations should be. We go out of our way to make the event memorable and make unusual entertainment acts and design ideas possible for our clients. However, if we ever have an inkling of doubt over a new concept that might be difficult to achieve for technical reasons, we share our thoughts with our clients right away. We’ve been very lucky with the kind of clientele we have received so far. Everyone has been trusting and wonderful and hence had lovely weddings too. Our knowledge and know-how of the industry also instill an element of trust in our clients after they meet us.
If you could give one piece of wedding planning advice to our readers (brides-to-be) what would it be?
Research! It’s always great to know what you want and how you want your wedding to be; clarity is of utmost importance. Plan in advance for your big day and invest in hiring professionals in each field – paying a little extra for a professional will go a long way when you’re planning your wedding and will take most of the stress of wedding planning away. Having said that, plan all you can and on the day itself, sit back and enjoy yourself! It’s your big day so don’t worry about the little stuff and make the most of every moment!
What budgets do you cater for?
Cliché as it sounds, we genuinely cater for every budget. Our joy comes from planning and styling each event no matter what the requirements are. Our fully fledged 360-degree planning services are usually for large weddings that have several elements and higher budgets. We also offer styling packages for budget brides who want assistance with styling on the day and coordination during their wedding day.
Lastly, why did you choose to list with www.brideclubme.com?
We’ve been working with brideclubme.com since the site’s launch. We advertised our previous company under this banner too and are very happy with the services offered to us. The website is professionally run and Rio (the founder) is very proactive when it comes to introducing the right planner to the bride and groom.
