Interview|Suzy Pallett, BRIDE Show 2016
It’s an exciting time for UAE based brides-to-be, as the BRIDE Show 2016 prepares to open its doors in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, aiming to inform and inspire those lucky yet possibly slightly overwhelmed ladies who are in the midst of planning their weddings. Bride Club ME is thrilled to be an official media partner of the event, meaning that you can come along and meet the team, and find out more about us and our super talented vendors, many of whom will be there in person!
In preparation for the Dubai show, which takes place in February, and the Abu Dhabi show in April, BCME spoke to Suzy Pallet, the Exhibition Director of BRIDE Show 2016. Whether your wedding is planned for some time in the future, or even if it’s in the next couple of months, we would definitely recommend a visit to pick up some advice and ideas for your special day. It certainly looks like there will be something for everyone. Read on to find out what visitors can expect from this huge event, and some of the big names that will be exhibiting there.
What makes the BRIDE show unique?
BRIDE 2016 will be more unique than previous years because you will see more content, more navigation and a better experience for consumers that are at a hugely exciting time in their lives. We want a trip to BRIDE to be magical, as it is part of a journey that is an everlasting moment in a female’s life. BRIDE will feature the who’s who of fashion, beauty and weddings to ensure that visitors are left uplifted.
Why should brides-to-be visit the exhibition?
BRIDE 2016 will be a bride’s one stop bridal destination. Amongst those exhibiting will be venues, caterers, designers, hair and make-up artists, jewelry designers, travel agencies and florists. Whether you are searching for one venue for your day, or different venues for five days of celebrations, there will be many types of exhibitors who will be able to source within your budget and guest numbers to fit your requirements.
Tell us about some of the exhibitors…
This year we have some really interesting exhibitors. We have designers such as Essa, Furne Amato, Rita Kamar, Ayesha Depala and Abeer, which is really exciting. In total, we have over 250 exhibitors ranging from catering to wedding makeup, and from photographers to favours!
What about other elements of a wedding, such as honeymoon planning?
BRIDE 2016 will have many exhibitors to help you plan your perfect honeymoon. We are working with amazing companies such as Seychelles Tourism, Korea Tourism and Al Rais to name but a few, who all offer incredible destinations and trips perfect for the dream honeymoon.
What about Grooms? Is there something to keep them occupied?
BRIDE 2016 is mainly focused around the brides-to-be, however, I am sure that the grooms wouldn’t mind taking a look at honeymoon destinations or the wedding catering exhibits!
Are there any special events during the exhibition that a bride-to-be-simply shouldn’t miss?
This year is packed with content, not just from our exhibitors and partners but our BRIDE features too, including a main stage with celebrity hosts, A-list fashion and demonstrations, pop up couture from world renowned designers, a pamper zone with free treatments, a fashion café, BRIDE tips…the list goes on!
You’ve recently moved to Dubai; how are you finding it?
I think that the region is an array of opportunity. Dubai itself is a beautiful mixture of cultures and architecture, both contemporary and classic, so it’s easy to be inspired in Dubai!
And lastly, do you have any advice for couples getting married here in the UAE?
My advice for couples getting married in the UAE is to plan ahead and leave plenty of time before the big day. There are many beautiful venues and locations here and you wouldn’t want to miss out by leaving things too late. Also, remember a winter wedding here still means plenty of sunshine!
Thank you Suzy! The BRIDE Show Dubai takes place between 10th and 13th February 2016 from 3:00pm to 9:30pm at the World Trade Centre. To visit the BRIDE Show website, click here, or visit the official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages. Also, be sure to check out their YouTube Channel!
