A Note From The Wedding Photographer
Mohamed & Iman were one of my favorite couples to work with. In January, they celebrated their marriage at the gorgeous sea facing Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Palm Jumeirah. The couple chose a romantic and elegant theme with lots of hanging garden flowers. The Purple Chair really brought Mohamed & Iman’s wedding dream to life with every thoughtful detail. The team made the wedding space truly unique with flower arrangements created by Le Marche des Fleurs, which transformed the ballroom into a beautiful garden.
The Bride & Groom seating area featured a luxury pink velvet sofa, elegant draping, along with orchid and rose flower compositions. The Purple Chair combined crystal and mirror elements, candelabras and modern marble slabs to decorate the dining tables. Each place setting featured a lovely ‘Thank You’ note for the couple’s loved ones. There truly were so many pretty details to capture!
Iman wore an absolutely stunning off-the-shoulder Esposa Prive gown with a dramatic train that really expressed her personality and sense of style. And her tiara made her look like a real life princess. Iman completed her bridal look with a textured bouquet made of orchids and roses. The Bridesmaids all wore matching blush, long lace dresses by Jardo. Mohamed and his Groomsmen brought lot of style to the occasion too, donning classic tuxedos paired with bowties and white ranunculus boutonnieres.
The natural beauty of the outdoor area became the perfect backdrop for capturing the emotional moment when Mohamed saw his beautiful Bride in her wedding dress for the first time. I was able to enjoy some sunset downtime with the couple too on the beach side of the hotel before the wedding began, which is where we captured their wedding portraits. Both Mohamed and Iman were so relaxed and couldn’t take their eyes off each other. This meant the photography process for me was filled with joy and wonderful energy.
Before Iman & Mohamed’s entrance, their beautifully dressed friends and family gathered in a private pre-function area for a cocktail hour and some incredible live music by local artist, Jay Abo.
One of the most exciting parts of the wedding was the couple’s Zaffa entrance! It was filled with traditional Arabic music, drum beats and dances. This was followed by a dinner reception in the Grand Ballroom.
When the guests took to their sits, the newlyweds entered for their first dance. The atmosphere was magical and enchanting. The rest of the night was filled with wonderful speeches, lots of dancing and so much love!
