Real Dubai Bride Michelle Williams: We’ve Chosen Our Celebrant!
It’s been a month since we last heard from our real Dubai bride, Michelle Williams, so we were super keen to find out what she got up to in October. Turns out, Michelle has had a great month and has ticked off a really important job; finding a celebrant for her big day! Learn more below…
This month we have been focusing on choosing our wedding celebrant, sorting out our save the dates, arranging the table seating plan, searching for a DJ designing our invitations.
In my last post, I mentioned that I was in the process of meeting with wedding celebrants. There was one person in particular who we found via Bride Club ME and who I liked as soon as we met. We’ve chosen our wedding celebrant and she is the amazing Theresa Du Toit.
She is extremely passionate about marriage and has been happily married for thirty years. The happiness in Theresa really shows. Myself and Sam met with Theresa in a coffee shop called Little Greece in Al Barsha Mall. I was shocked at how interested Theresa was in how we met, how we felt about each other and the proposal itself. Her energy was vibrant, positive, loving and very welcoming. We loved Theresa as soon as we met her. I think when someone is marrying you, you really have to connect with that person; for me energy is everything and she’s the perfect match for us! Theresa has given me some guidance and information that I wouldn’t have even thought of if it wasn’t for her. We’re both extremely happy with our choice and cannot wait to have this beautiful soul join us in matrimony on our special day.
As a last minute option, I decided to design and send the save the dates by email. Having family and friends visiting from all over the world, an email drop seemed like the better option. It hasn’t been easy trying to keep up with wedding planning whilst juggling teacher life but I’m getting there, day by day.
It was Sam’s birthday during the month of October so we had a lovely evening at a restaurant called Frankie’s. There was lush Italian food, a great ambience and an incredible live Jazz band. We’ve had a lovely month of celebrations, more wedding planning and catching up with friends we haven’t seen in a while.
I can’t believe it’s November – where has 2017 gone!? Thanks for reading my post for the month of October, I look forward to keeping you up to date with more wedding info in next month’s post, when I’ll be writing about the seating arrangements and planning, DJ searching, wedding invites and more.
See you soon!
