Get Your Very Own Slice Of Royal Wedding Cake With Magnolia Bakery

Iconic New York dessert makers, Magnolia Bakery, are celebrating the impending nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by creating a selection of replicas of the Royal Wedding cake for UAE residents to enjoy. The selection will include cakes and cupcakes inspired by the ingredients and style of the Royal Baker.

Harry and Meghan have broken with Royal tradition once again, and instead of a fruitcake, they have chosen a lemon elderflower cake with buttercream icing, finished with edible flowers…Well, you know what they say; when life gives you lemons, you make lemon elderflower cake! Earlier this month, Kensington Palace released an official statement confirming that the bride and groom have enlisted the skills of American pastry chef and owner of Violet Bakery in London, Claire Ptak, to create their very special cake. Ptak posted a photo on Instagram earlier this week of several crates of fresh, Sicilian lemons with the caption: “And so it begins” – as she gears up to fulfill her biggest, and most important, order to date.

And now, thanks to Magnolia Bakery, you too can sample the Royal Wedding cake for yourself with the brand’s cupcakes and cakes that will emulate Claire Ptak’s delicious creation.

The cakes will consist of delicate elderflower sponge cake combined with a smooth lemon cream and light elderflower meringue buttercream. whilst the cupcakes come with a delicately patterned holder fit for a King or Queen. Full-size cakes will be decorated with a fleur-de-lis pattern and a pearl border top and bottom.

Whether you’re celebrating the wedding of the year from the comfort of your own home with a fancy tea party, a British themed BBQ, a glamorous dinner party or you just fancy a taste of royalty, Magnolia Bakery’s homage to Prince Harry and Meghan’s cake will make the perfect regal sweet treat.

Prices range from AED 17 for the lemon elderflower cupcakes, AED 99 for a 10cm full-size cake and AED 789 for a 35cm cake.
