Spring Summer ’16 Tony Ward Couture Collection at Contessa Bridal
Inspired by the beautiful Hollywood legend Ava Gardner, our vendors over at Contessa Bridal have now welcomed the Tony Ward Couture ready to wear Spring/Summer 2016 bridal collection at their JLT boutique.
The Lebanese-Italian designer puts emphasis on the ‘architecture’ of his gowns, using layering and transparency to create dresses that have attracted royal families and celebrities with their streamlined silhouettes, beautiful prints and sophisticated embroideries. With fabrics including silk, crepe, organza, lace, embroidered tulle and hand painted crinoline, the dresses embody delicacy, subtlety and elegance in a collection that is bound to inspire any bride to be looking for that touch of classic Hollywood glamour, as well as mystery and femininity.
One of our favourite gowns in this collection is the one pictured below, which features a deep V neckline and an array of embroidery throughout the bodice and skirt. The layering that Tony Ward has become so famous for is apparent throughout the skirt in particular.
Brides to be who are looking for a fuller skirt might be interested in this gown, which incorporates floral embellishments and a tight fitting bodice to give you definition at the waist. A romantic ball gown, this dress will make you feel like royalty with its rich fabrics.
If you’re seeking something a little unusual, yet still fairly traditional, the gown below with its exquisite adornments and sweeping lines offers something a little different for brides who are seeking to make an impact. This edgy design is structured until the mid-thigh, when the skirt becomes fuller.
Moreover, brides who are looking for something a little less traditional in terms of colour will be pleased to know that these stunning designs also feature beautiful shades such as raspberry, sapphire blue, peach, pastel yellow and water green. These pretty colours could be worn as part of your main ceremony or even as a second dress to change into later in the evening.
