‘You had me at Aloha’
Receiving submissions from both real brides and vendors always gets us feeling excited and inspired, but when we saw this captivating styled shoot from relatively new wedding and event planners The Pretty Pineapple, we were well and truly in awe. Finding the words to describe these enchanting and unique images is incredibly difficult, and choosing just one or two elements to focus on is nigh on impossible.
To begin with, the shoot took place at the charming Desert Palm, where both our Founder, Rio, and our Assistant Editor, Rachael, chose to have their respective weddings. BCME vendors Innovative Hiring provided the furniture, and one of our guest blogger contributors, Franzie’s Flower Design, showcased their fabulous blooms, adding such a bright, pretty element to the overall set up.
But perhaps our favourite thing about this shoot (if we really had to pick one) are the pineapples that feature throughout. Whether spray painted gold as part of the floral display, or adding a unique theme to this already dazzling shoot, there’s just that little something special that reflects not only the personality of The Pretty Pineapple, but also their attention to detail and the feeling that, when it comes to your wedding day, there are no limits to what can be incorporated, should you so desire.

A Note From The Creative Director
We here at The Pretty Pineapple were dreaming of an island getaway…however, we didn’t need to fly anywhere to experience the tropical vibes as they were right on our doorstep at the stunning Desert Palm Per Aquum. Our ‘You had me at Aloha’ styled shoot was inspired by our favourite fruit here at The Pretty Pineapple, which just so happens to be the decorative piece of the year, taking the wedding and design industry by storm. Within our shoot the famous fruit featured in a lot of design aspects; from the golden sprayed centerpiece and the mocktail cups, to the props for our bride and groom for their photo booth backdrop. Another trend that is big for 2016 which was a focus for this shoot are luxe leafy greens; our wonderful florist played around with this trend for our peacock chairs and we are simply in love with them…we hope you are too.
We were lucky enough to work with the most wonderful team of vendors who helped us to create a shoot that we feel is fresh, fun and tropical. Biggest thanks to everyone involved.
