Behind The Scenes With Bride Club ME
It’s been some time since I have updated our ‘behind the scenes’ posts on the blog section of BCME. Firstly the summer season hit and events slowed down, I was then off on my belated honeymoon to Africa for two weeks, came back to the sandpit and hit the floor running. I’ve been a busy bee since my return from Africa and had a lot to catch up on. Any how, here’s what I was up to been up behind the scenes with BCME.
Launching The Engage Academy Social Media Pages
As many of you may know, back in June we launched The Engage Academy in partnership with The Fash Set. Our inaugural event took place at the CONRAD Dubai Hotel and was a HUGE success. At The Engage Academy we hold regular industry workshops and networking events.
Vendors in attendance must be open to feedback, to exploring collaborative creativity and they must be dedicated to taking their business to the next level. Along with our experts, we offer advice in order to enhance presence online, we stress the importance of marketing and networking and give lots of tips that will help wedding entrepreneurs shine in the growing UAE wedding industry circle.
Brides, we are doing this to ensure you have the best user experience when sourcing your vendors and vendors, we are all about encouraging growth and excellence. If you are a wedding vendor and would like to attend our next event, be sure to follow our face book updates here and our twitter posts at @teadxb. Our instagram account and website will launch in the coming few months. YAY!
The Address Downtown Dubai Wedding Fair
Hosted at the gorgeous Address Downtown Dubai, the annual wedding fair showcased handpicked wedding vendors in Dubai and gave brides the chance to mix and mingle with industry professionals and learn more about their services. Exhibiting at the wedding fair were some of BCME’s listed vendors, including wedding photography specialists Goldfish Photography and Video, Stationery Designer Design by Louma, Bridal Boutique Owner Anne Rashid at The Bridal Room and wedding concierge company Aghareed by Lafayette Weddings.
The event also gave brides in attendance the opportunity to speak to the Address Downtown Dubai events & catering staff in regards to their very own wedding venue facilities and services.
I was at the event as an expert speaker and media partner, hosting two live Q&A sessions with brides. The brides, grooms and I, discussed everything from budgeting, planning, wedding etiquette, the benefits of hiring a wedding planner and more. It was so lovely to meet some of our readers and new brides in person, and I hoped the Q&A sessions left them feeling a little less overwhelmed.
Joining me at the event was my fellow wedding lovely Joelle, who was there promoting the launch of her brand spanking new website and wedding styling service ‘Lovely Styling’. Go check it out!
Our Third BCME Styled Shoot
Last Sunday, after a month or so of liaising back and forth with our suppliers for this shoot, we finally met and created magic. I don’t want to divulge too much detail just yet, but it sure was a labor of love, created out of a vision I had when meeting with fashion designer Olga Nurek in her stunning bridal boutique.
The Victoria Strange Boutique inspired me to create the theme for this shoot and all will be revealed very soon! I am completely in love with the above teaser images we have received so far from photographer Melissa Beattie.
Mylist.ae Workshop At O’de Rose Boutique
Planning a wedding is hard work and, knowing this, o’de rose and mylist.ae recently held an exclusive Wedding Workshop for brides-to-be! The Arabic-inspired ethno-chic concept boutique in Dubai, partnered with wedding vendors in the UAE to provide brides-to-be with an informative workshop to help them plan their big day.
Held at the charmingly eclectic boutique on 29th September, the event featured a fabulous team of experts chosen to help guests with planning their dream wedding. Team Bride Club ME attended and spoke to brides before the event commenced offering a few tips of our own, we also mingled with some fabulous wedding industry professionals, including some of our BCME vendor club members, such as The Bridal Showroom and Mylist.ae.
Experts, including Julie from wedding gift registry company Mylist.ae, Wedding Photographers Blue Eye Picture and Diala Abu Issa, Owner of The Bridal Showroom, were on hand to provide information and answer questions on a range of different topics to help brides to be in plan their wedding day, including setting up an online gift registry, wedding dresses and accessories, photography, cakes, jewelry and wedding decorations.
