Hello brides to-be,

March has been a mammoth month for events in the bridal industry, Team Bride Club ME attends as many as possible to bring you the latest updates in the industry, and of course to tell people about our wonderful website.

The official launch of ESPOSA:

To kick things off we attended the official launch of the brand new ESPOSA boutique. Guests attending the launch, held at the ESPOSA Boutique in Jumeirah, were treated to soft drinks, canapés and sumptuous sweet treats displayed beautifully in the style of an elegant wedding desert table. The evening was accompanied by soulful tunes and a live flute performance. Various bridal gowns were displayed in a number of creative ways, and guests were in for a treat with live statues greeting us at the main event entrance.

All ladies lucky enough to attend the opening were given an ESPOSA goodie bag filled with girly delights.

Unfortunately our resident photographer Alice Hartley was poorly, so we papped a few shots on our trusty I Phone for your viewing pleasure.

BRIDE Dubai press conference at the Desert Palm retreat:

Held at the stunning Desert Palm Retreat, Dubai, we attended the official BRIDE Dubai Press conference. Guests were given a sneak peak at what is to come at BRIDE Dubai, as models showcased gorgeous designs by Khaled Khalil, Mauzan and Shalky by Qassem Al Qassem.

We were also given a warm welcome by dance troupe Dabka, who entertained us with their sword swinging and drums. The BRIDE Dubai event is sponsored by LG, who will be showcasing their latest LG’s 84-inch Ultra HD TV and LG’s unique door-in-door refrigerator.  Their sponsorship  is aimed at inspiring newly married couples to upgrade and set up home with the latest products from LG.

Crate and Barrel ‘Wedding Parties’ Event:

Alice Hartley and Rhiannon Downie of Bride Club ME were invited to the Crate & Barrel wedding Party, held at their store in the Mall of Emirates. Brides to-be were treated to cup cakes and fresh coffee, presentations by top interior designers, and more.

While we were there, we bumped into the gorgeous Saida Massmoudi, Director of weddings and Events and the Atlantis hotel and spoke to many brides to-be who were looking for fresh inspiration when setting up their new love nests. Bride Club ME founder and Bride to-be Rhiannon, picked up a few treats for herself using the special 10% discount card given to all registrants of the event.

Rhiannon also purchased a few chalk board placemats which not only serve a practical purpose, but will be great to use at a her November wedding for signage. If you are interested in these for your own wedding, they cost  39AED and are available at all Crate & Barrel stores in the UAE.

Afro Arabia 2013 Fashion Show:

We were invited by our Vendor Club member ‘Dazzling Straps’ to attend the Afro Arabia ‘Summer 2013 Collection’ fashion show. We had front row seats and a perfect view of the stunning creations gracing the raised catwalk in the Dubai Mall fashion avenue. Whilst not 100% wedding related, we had a great time, and met some fabulous designers and people working in the creative fields. Emirati & French Fashion Show (organized by Miss Hind Al Shehhi and Julie&Romeo Weddings):

This invitation-only event was held at the Cartoon Art Gallery in Al Qouz and was a beautifully put together, intimate evening aimed at promoting local Emirati talent and French business entrepreneurs. Sponsors of the event included our friends Julie and Maureen, founders of the wedding gift registry company MyList.ae, Julie and Romeo Wedding Organizers, Monsoon, Keenbags, Mademoiselle from Paris, Peas in a Pod and H&FL Fashion.

Attendees were given makeovers by Armani Beauty/Galeries Lafayette, and had the opportunity to witness a wonderful fashion show featuring gorgeous kaftans, evening dresses and a one-off bridal gown.

Unveiling the Bride (by the Bridal Affair):

Brides and vendors were invited to the pre-bridal affair event ‘Unveiling the bride’ held at Carters, WAFI. The evening proved to be a great networking opportunity for Team Bride Club ME, we were also impressed by the delicious goodies scattered around the event for guest to pick up. The fashion show was EPIC and we were blown away by some of the Asian bridal designs gracing the catwalk.

The Bridal Affair Dubai:

In its third season, The Bridal Affair Dubai 2013 was a big hit with exhibitors and visitors. Held at the Godolphin Ballroom in the Emirates towers, Team Bride Club ME were there as official online media partners and had our interactive stand on display throughout the day. We had a blast filming with Morning Jacket Films and interviewing brides to-be and exhibitors. You can watch our video soon on BrideclubMETV. Watch this space!
