Hi all!
We’re so excited to be coming to you with some amazing DIY and crafty ideas for the every wedding occasion! Alice and I pride ourselves on being two creative queens that can see a pile of rubble and see its use and the incredible potential. It’s now about to be a crafters most loved holiday! Christmas! It really is our holiday to shine as we all get so giddy about the colors, the textures, the smiles! And with the holidays, comes decorations and glitter and the things we love to decorate with the most…ribbons.
Here in the UAE this time seems to be the most wonderful time of the year, but only because of the Christmas holidays, but because the weather permits us to go out and play! Everyone is cheerful, and that can only mean one thing…Love is in the air, and a lot of couples decide to tie the know during this time of year. Which is why Nifty Little Things has devised a neat little DIY project for any of you Brides that decide on the Holiday-time –nuptials.
A lot of the time between budgeting for dresses, flowers and the perfect wedding location, the little things like table decorations seem to get left. But no need to fear, we’ve come up with an easy, cheap way to make your own color themed candle jar holders that are sure to add an romantic and festive touch to your special day.
What you will need:
- Any type of jar (jam, sauce or even oil jars work great)
- Some Glitter to match your color theme
- Some stickers (either numbers or shapes)
- Ribbon
- Glue (Modge Podge seems to work best)
- A foam brush.
Step 1.
Apply any special stickers you’d like to use.
Step 2. Use your foam brush to apply an even coat of glue to the jar. Go side from side as it dries quickly.
Step 3.
Start applying the glitter as even as possible. Remember to put newspaper or a mat to catch your extra as you can reuse and save.
Step 4.
Let Dry, and remove the sticker.
Step 5 .
Apply a nice bow and tea light and watch the gorgeous lights shine through your shapes.
