Vanila Wedding Boutique in student collaboration
If you’ve ever visited the JLT based boutique of our vendors Vanila, you’re certain to have noticed the light, airy and modern interiors that add a special something to this recently opened studio, going beyond the vast collection of beautiful dresses and accessories on display. At the BRIDE Dubai Show, we absolutely loved Vanila’s vendor booth, which wowed us by representing their boutique so accurately that it actually felt like we were setting foot in their beautiful store itself.
We therefore weren’t surprised when we heard about Vanila’s collaboration with an interior design student, Ibrahim Bawadikji, from the University of Sharjah, after he was given the task of creating a dream wedding boutique in Dubai that would inspire and delight future brides to be. If there’s one thing we’re in favour of here at Bride Club ME, it’s a collaboration. From styled shoots to occasions such as this, opportunities to collaborate provide all sides with the chance to learn and further develop their own unique set of skills.
Ibrahim contacted Vanila, who then invited him to their boutique to show him everything from the interior, the design elements and décor, to the lighting and the gowns and accessories displays, in order to help him with his project. Ibrahim then created inspiration and concept boards based on the Vanila Wedding Boutique and a store in Japan, coming up with his own vision for a bridal boutique, which he named ‘ALLURE’.
Ibrahim’s aim was that:
Clients will be transformed from reality to an atmosphere of luxury and fantasy, experiencing a dream come true by entering a legendary golden cage. In this experience, the client is greeted with royal and fairytale-inspired elements to make this transformation.
As a result of his hard work, Ibrahim scored top marks in his assignment, and we’re sure that it’s the beginning of a very promising future for him. Who knows, perhaps we’ll see him as a vendor on BCME before too long!
