This week we have the privilege of showcasing Mohammed Al-Haj, Marketing Manager of the CONTESSA Dubai – Bridal Boutique.
Mohammed provides us with exclusive insight into the company CONTESSA, their bridal gowns, and shares with us what he loves most about his job.
- How long has CONTESSA been established and what makes your bridal boutique different?
Contessa started in April 2010 in a small shop in Al Barsha. It only provided bridal gowns at the time; we then relocated to JLT in January 2012. Our selection of bridal gowns caters to all budgets, and we offer a variety of dresses from simplistic and elegant to intricate and extravagant. We boast a beautiful selection of evening gowns, as well as bridal accessories and aim to act as a one stop shop for a brides attire needs.
- What do you love most about your work?
Meeting and working with brides on daily basis, it’s not only about selling you the dress at Contessa. Our slogan is ‘A day, a dress, a moment’. We want to make sure we share experiences with each other, talk about venues, décor, the finer details. We aim to make our brides feel comfortable by breaking the ice and getting to know them better.
- Do you have any exciting business plans in the pipe line for CONTESSA?
YES! But I’d like to keep it a surprise and wait for the right time to announce the news. Once we are ready Bride Club ME will be first to know.
Describe the experience a bride to-be will have when visiting your boutique?
First she is warmly welcomed into out boutique; we ask some questions and fill out a quick enquiry form, to better understand the bride’s needs, budget and so on. The bride is then offered a tour around our boutique and the dresses; she can pick her selection or opt to give us the right to do so that on her behalf. Brides to be can try up to 7 gowns in one appointment. We try to minimise the choices, but maximize on style to avoid confusing her.
- If you could give one piece of advice to expat brides to-be, what would it be?
Follow your heart, and decide on your own. Don’t wait for opinions, as too many will confuse you, everyone’s style is different and it’s YOUR big day.
- Lastly, why did you choose to list with www.brideclubme.com?
The founder Rio is amazing, she always ensures we are in the loop, keeps in contact and supports our business in a pro-active way, that’s why I love working with her. She has really done a great job. Bride Club ME has a great online directory too, it is not just a website, but a journey that gives every visitor or bride to be the true bridal experience. They are very interactive with their readers, and this does not go unnoticed.
