Get to Know the Wedding Pro! – Wedding Supplier Interview (Barbaranne Heaton of Moirai Style)

Here, you can learn more about the people behind some of the businesses you may hire to make your wedding day perfect!

This week we are showcasing Barbaranne Heaton, fashion designer and founder of  Dubai based ‘Moirai Style’. Barbaranne provides us with an exclusive insight into the company Moirai Style, her approach to design, and shares with us what she loves most about her job.

•        How long has your company been established and what do you do?

Moirai Style was established in 2012 by myself, Barbaranne Heaton, a qualified and experienced British fashion designer. I wanted to help brides and their wedding party to find exactly what they wanted for their big day. I specialise in made to order bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, evening gowns, dress attire, and men’s suits. Moirai Style only use the best fabrics and the clothes are made with the utmost care and attention.

•        What do you love most about your work?

Working with our clients to make their visions come to life. A bride or client will often come to us with a clear idea of what they want, but find it hard to translate. That’s where our expertise comes in, by suggesting fabrics, designs, etc. Seeing a dress or design from the sketch pad to the finished item on someone is what it’s all about!

•        Do you have any exciting projects or designs in the pipe line for the bridal community?

We are currently expanding our line in to Men’s tailoring, offering full bespoke suits for the everyday man or ‘Grooms to be’ who have specific requirements that suit hire company’s may not be able to fill. We are also starting to offer matching accessories, grooms hankies, veils, sashes for wedding dresses, accessories, etc.

I am also designing and making  bridesmaids dresses for the founder of this site ‘Rhiannon Downie’ in addition to making the BM dresses for her best friend who is marrying a week before Rhiannon. We can’t wait for you all to see these beautiful dresses.

•        Describe your style and approach to your bridal designs:

Vintage inspired, beautifully made garments that suit the client and fit them to perfection. We are all about quality, but we don’t believe there should be an extortionate price tag attached to that. Fashion should be affordable, but it should also be well made and long lasting. Our designs are classic and timeless, and are made to be worn more than once.

•        How can our brides benefit from your service?

We offer a no obligation, free consultation to all brides to be who want to come and have a chat with us about their requirements. We want to hear all about your big day, and help you achieve the look you require.  We can design to your taste or you can choose from our wide selection of designs.  We don’t just stop at the dresses either, we are more than happy to help you tie in details in to your wedding so if you require extra fabric for bouquet wraps, ties for the men or accessories, we can to help you finish off the look!

•        If you could give one piece of advice to expat brides to-be, what would it be?

Relax and enjoy the process, we are here to take the worry and stress away from you. It is possible to have the wedding you always dreamed of.
