A Bohemian Beach Styled Shoot in Dubai | Paula Scalco Photography
A Bohemian Beach Styled Shoot in Dubai
Prepare to be wowed by all kinds of pretty things, as today we showcase Brazilian photographer Paula Scalco’s beautiful styled shoot. What’s really impressive is that as well as capturing this gorgeous collection of images, Paula also styled the shoot herself, which in our books makes her extra talented! Paula says that she is a fan of sunsets, and it is very apparent, when looking at the images, just why she adores them so much. Who could not love that soft, flattering, romantic light, with all of its different shades and hues?
Our vendors, Firenze Flora, were on hand to provide the natural flowers and crown, which helped to add to the bohemian vibe, and we just love the use of shells to add to the beach theme. And don’t even get us started on that cake with its edible succulents! As the sun sets, lanterns and candlelight take over, resulting in one of our favourite images from the shoot. Read on to find out what inspired Paula, and how she skilfully made her vision come to life…
A Note from the Photographer
The idea of this shoot came into my head whilst I was watching the beautiful sunset at my favourite spot in Dubai: Jumeirah Kite Beach! I just knew I had to do a photo shoot there, and I wanted to do it in a way that was simple, rustic and beautiful. This of course involved a stunning sunset at one of the most iconic spots in Dubai, two beautiful models, and some lovely fresh flowers, including a flower crown! The cherry on the top was definitely a perfect fondant cake, with handmade edible succulents. I also used some of my own furniture and candles to help make this the perfect styled shoot. The warm winter sunset in Dubai provided us with a beautiful backdrop, and the images show a soft and dreamy effect. I feel that this shoot perfectly showcases my style of photography, which is always romantic, and I believe that it provides inspiration for any bride-to-be to have some photos taken with her loved one.
