We’re delighted to share with you behind the scenes images of a recent wedding set-up styled and organised by BCME Vendor and Wedding Planner, Tasneem Alibhai of TA Weddings & Special Occasions.
This stunning wedding was held at the newly opened Mandarin Oriental Jumeria and was actually the first ever wedding to be held at the prestigious hotel. We absolutely love the colour scheme and look out for the gorgeous, statement flower installation above the dance floor.

A Note From The Wedding Photographer
The bride and groom got married during a 3 day celebration in Bali. The bride’s family are based in Dubai, and the groom’s family in Hong Kong, so the couple decided to have a destination wedding in a location that suited all. Once they came back to Dubai, they decided to have a wedding reception for their loved ones who were unable to travel.
The bride contacted me, via a referral from a dear friend of hers, who was one of my previous clients. The first thing we did, was source their ideal venue. The couple were looking for a venue that had possibly not been used before, or used very little. We looked at Armani, Four Seasons, W, Five The Palm, as well as Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai. But none of these venues suited the bride and groom. I then suggested Mandarin Oriental, which at the time was still under construction and not yet opened for the public.
I did some research and found out that the Events Director at the Mandarin Oriental was ex Four Seasons, who I happened to know! I got in touch with her and she was more then happy to show us the venue even though it wasn’t officially opened yet. Well, the couple instantly fell in love with the space, as soon as we entered. The venue was booked within 2 weeks.
The bride and groom were understated and didn’t want decor that was overpowering, as the ballroom itself was simply stunning. We decided upon a pink and purple theme, with touches of gold and green. As the centrepieces were low, featuring geometrical lanterns surrounded by blooms, we decided to go with a large flower installation over the dance floor to add the extra WOW factor the space needed. We also added a large LED screen with the bride and grooms names. For the entrance of the ballroom, we installed gorgeous cherry blossom trees to create a statement when guests first arrived, and my personal favourite was the photo-op balloon backdrop.
This was an extra special project for myself and TA Weddings & Special Occasions, as we were planning not only the first Indian wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, but the very first wedding at the venue full stop.
