BCME Partner With Real Mums Dubai For Breast Cancer Awareness Event

With October being a month dedicated to Breast Cancer awareness, there are several initiatives happening throughout Dubai and beyond in order to raise funds and educate both women and men on the symptoms of this disease, which is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. You have probably noticed that your social media feeds have been flooded with images of pink ribbons and that shops are selling special ‘pink’ products.

As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, BCME is proud to partner with Real Mums Dubai, who are hosting an event on 28^th October. Real Mums are working in association with charity Brest Friends, which is a Dubai-based support group operating under the umbrella of the Al Jalila Foundation. Held at Casa Havana Salon on A Wasl Road, the event promises to be a fabulous day of free pampering, photobooth fun, pink mocktails, pink candy, goodie bags and so much more! Medical experts will also be in attendance to discuss the importance of self-examinations, and to teach you how to do them correctly.

All women are invited, and those with little ones will be able to make use of the dedicated children’s area, safe in the knowledge that your children will be entertained whilst you get a bit of special mummy time and mingle with fellow group members. All children, from babies to tots to teenage girls, are welcome.

Taking place from 11am-6pm, the event is free to attend but donations are of course encouraged, and all proceeds will go directly to the Brest Friends initiative. This money will be used to further Breast Cancer research in the UAE, and to help those who have the disease, survivors and their families.
