If you’ve arrived here from pt.1 of our Discover Türkiye piece where we roamed the Bosporus, exploring unique venues for your destination wedding, you may be wondering why bother looking anywhere else. Whilst Istanbul has a little bit of something for everyone, beautiful Bodrum throws luscious shorelines and bustling nightlife into the mix. The picturesque city on the Bodrum Peninsula, stretching from Türkiye’s southwest coast into the Aegean Sea, is teeming with world-class dining options, historical tourist attractions, vibrant after-hour entertainment, turquoise waters and fantastic shopping bazaars!

And somehow, we managed to pull ourselves away and find amazing wedding venues, which we explored in detail, for our Bride Club readership – courtesy of Visit Türkiye. Below, we highlight five venues to keep on your radar when considering a wedding in Türkiye:

Bodrum Venues for your Destination Wedding in Türkiye

LUJO HOTEL

Lujo hotel is an expansive, minimalist and all-inclusive hotel with gorgeous private beaches and incredible panoramic Aegean views. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor venues serving guest lists ranging from the hundreds to the thousands; with Cocktail receptions for up to nine hundred guests, dinner set-ups for up to 540 persons, and buffets or parties for up to 1500 guests. This venue would suit a modern couple looking for a chic location for a large wedding in Bodrum, and is ideal for multi-day weddings too, due to the sheer size of the hotel and venue options.

Top Tip: The venue is expansive, and whilst buggies are easily available, it’s a good idea to pack a pair of walking shoes with you too. Also, make sure you go for an early sunrise swim by OPA restaurant, and enjoy an adult-only zone.

SIX SENSES KAPLANKAYA

Go big… or go to Bodrum and go bigger! Not many brides can boast about having a private island for their wedding destination, but the Six Senses in Bodrum, Türkiye can offer just that. THE BODRUM EDITION

Located within a natural cove overlooking the serene azure waters of the Turkish Riviera, The Bodrum EDITION is the perfect setting for a dream-like wedding day. Set across 22,000 square meters of tranquil gardens and a magnificent white beach, couples can choose from intimate beachfront ceremonies on the deck, to lavish celebrations on the Sunset Terrace or infinity pool. The venue is edgy and urban and we can personally attest that the food is delicious!

Couples can elevate their big day by choosing from a selection of dining options from globally celebrated Peruvian chef, Diego Muñoz, from the hotel’s restaurants. At BRAVA, the hotel’s signature restaurant, guests can choose from a personalised menu featuring the cuisine of their choice and a complimentary wedding cake.

METT BODRUM

The METT Hotel & Beach Resort, Bodrum, is located in Haremtan Bay, just a few minutes away from Bodrum Marina and offers a unique setting for a wedding with its exquisite Mediterranean view and crystal-clear azure waters. METT Bodrum has 72 meticulously decorated rooms, 31 suites, loft suites and private villas are available for the newlywed couple and their guests. MANDARIN ORIENTAL BODRUM

The Mandarin Oriental Bodrum is situated in one of the most beautiful bays on the Bodrum Peninsula in the heart of Paradise Bay. The hotel is fully equipped to serve a range of romantic wedding venues, such as private white sand beaches and spectacular alfresco locations with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea. If Bodrum’s selection has caught your attention for your Türkiye Wedding Destination, June to September will see you through highs of 36 degrees, making it the more popular time to visit and get married. If cooler temperatures and fewer tourists sound more like your style, then October is worth considering for an Autumn wedding. If you decide to marry in Bodrum, a visit to the historical Bodrum Castle is an absolute must. The castle is now the home of the award-winning Bodrum Museum of underwater Archaeology and in 2016, was inscribed in the tentative list of world heritage sights in Türkiye. In case you are wondering, you can also get married within the castle grounds! A truly magical venue of choice.
