GlamBox ME allows subscribers to find out what works best for them, while having fun experimenting. It’s a subscription service, each month you get a package containing four or five surprise sample sized beauty products. The service is perfect for beauty-product loving ladies. We were lucky enough to review our first box this month and give you our thoughts in our review below.
The experience:
My GlamBox was personally delivered to my office. It was wrapped up in a pretty branded box with a little note. All ladies like to receive gifts, and so an element of excitement crept in as I held the box in my hand and proceeded to unwrap it to reveal the contents.
My review of the products received:
The products inside my GlamBox were sample and travel sized products. The concept behind this is effective, it means you can trial run and test products without spending the full amount on new products, and potentially waste money on purchases you may never buy again.
The products in my ‘February’ GlamBox were:
1. A GlamBox Blusher Brush
2. Sample size Lolita Lempicka parfume
3. Uniq one all in 1 hair treatment
4. Gatineau Paris Eye Gel
5. Green Bar – Apricot and Grapefruit moisturising oil.
6. Lancome Hypnose Mascara
The experience of receiving my GlamBox was exciting, the products were certainly interesting, and my personal favourite was the Green Bar moisturizing oil. I will be using this product again; it smelt delicious and left my skin feeling silky smooth.
The GlamBox packaging looks really expensive, which is good, but there is a lot of wastage. I felt extremely guilty about throwing anything away, so I will keep my box and will up cycle it, to turn it into some kind of gift box or jewellery case. After speaking to Glambox, they told me that they host regular recycling events at locations across the UAE. If you return your boxes in good condition – GlamBox reward you with beauty treats at the event! This pleased my green conscience.
How is GlamBox relevant to Brides?
When we heard about GlamBox Middle East, we thought that treating your bridal party to a year’s subscription would be a fabulous on-going and cost effective gift idea. It’s common practice in many cultures to gift the bridal party/mother of the bride/mother of the groom; we felt this is a unique gift idea and would appeal to women on many levels.
This would also make a great gift for the bride herself, if you are thinking of getting her something a little ‘outside the box’ – excuse the pun.
The Cost:
GlamBox is also available in countries like, China, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, and, more recently, here in the UAE. A subscription of 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months is available to suit any type of budget. It’s about 50 AED a month and the value of your GlamBox will always be higher than the subscription you’re paying.
