Real Wedding ~ Anantara, The Palm
When we heard that the Anantara hotel was launching on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah earlier this year, we immediately hoped we’d be able to cover a real wedding there one day.
The time has finally come. Set among Asian-inspired architecture, with peaked roofs resembling Thai temples, this real wedding features a warm, hazy sunset and a very chilled bride and groom. It was submitted by Goldfish Photography and Video, and we just love the orange hues and vibe created at this intimate expat wedding. The groom is Waseem, from Lebanon, and the bride is Ghada, who hails from the US. Below, team Goldfish gives us their overview on photographing this rather lovely wedding.
A Note From The Photographers
We were introduced to Waseem and Ghada through Clare Ebbs from the Perfect Moment. The couple did most of the planning from outside the country, which is why they brought the fabulous Clare in to oversee their big day.
We met with the bride and groom at the Stunning Anantara Resort on the Palm about a week before the wedding to plan timings and how the day would unfold. At this meeting, we also picked out some perfect locations for the wedding shoot. We were one of the first photographers to have the pleasure of photographing a wedding at this new hotel; there were so many beautiful locations to choose from for backdrops that we were spoilt for choice, and we were delighted with the results.
Waseem and Ghada were a dream couple to photograph as they were very relaxed and in love! Clare’s set-up on the beach was perfect – it was small and intimate, with around 70 guests, who were entertained by Dabkha dancers in the evening and a cellist who performed during dinner. It was such a memorable day, and we loved being able to capture some really unique images for such a special couple!
