Each week, we shine the spotlight on Bride Club ME vendor club members, allowing you, our reader, to get up close and personal with some of the best wedding vendors in town. Here, you can learn more about the people behind some of the businesses you may be using to make your wedding day perfect!
This week we have the privilege of showcasing Nadia Lungu, who alongside her husband Mohamed Elnahas co-founded JLT-based bridal boutique, Bride2Be. Below, we find out how Nadia became involved in the wedding industry and how Bride2Be can help brides find their dream gown.
How long has Bride2Be been established, and what makes your boutique different when it comes to helping brides choose their dream dress?
Bride2Be opened in November 2016. Since then we have been working hard to ensure we have an impressive range of designers to offer our brides. We exclusively stock the most beautiful dresses in Dubai designed by Suzanne Neville, Sassi Holford and Ian Stuart. We constantly review our collection and make sure we have a wide range of styles available, from classic to contemporary.
Bride2Be are also proud to launch the new Maggie Sottero Collection, arriving in the boutique between September and November. In addition to this, the La Sposa Collection by Pronovias Fashion Group will be available in the shop at the end of December It is our mission to make sure every single bride will find ‘the one’ dress that will help them look and feel amazing on their big day!
What made you decide to work in the wedding industry?
When I was planning my own wedding in Dubai I noticed there wasn’t a lot of choice with styles of dresses. The local styles are more traditional than what we see in Europe and I was keen to help expand on what was available. I also loved planning my own wedding so much and got such a massive buzz from trying on dresses that I fell in love with the idea of running my own store. I understand how demanding it can be to plan a whole wedding and want to make sure brides have the best possible experience when finding the perfect dress.
What do you love most about your job?
I really love to get to know each bride and understand their taste so we can create a really personal service. It’s such an honour to be there to see someone’s face when they know they have just found THE DRESS. It’s something you can feel almost as soon as you put the dress on and sometimes it can be the last dress you expected to like so there’s always a surprise element too. We love to keep in touch with our brides and they often come back and share pictures of their big day – it’s amazing to see how a dress looks on the actual wedding day!
Tell us about the designers and collections you stock. What are some of your favourites?
We have tried to include designers to suit all tastes and budgets whilst also offering exclusivity where we can. At the moment, we have Suzanne Neville and Sassi Holford, whose dresses are all handmade in the UK with amazing quality fabric. They are truly elegant and timeless. We also offer SO SASSI by Sassi Holford, which is a more modern and playful style and very well priced. Maggie Sottero really appeals to the romantic bride and her dresses are so ethereal. For more daring brides we carry individual styles from designers like Ian Stuart. Madeline Gardner offers ultra-sophisticated and glamorous dress whilst Ronal Joyce offer feminine and timeless pieces. I have so many favourites I can’t possibly choose – trying on dresses is my guilty pleasure now!
Describe the experience a bride-to-be will have when hiring Bride2Be for her wedding…
We endeavour to create a totally unique experience and make the bride-to-be feel as special as possible. We get to know all about their style preferences and encourage them to be brutally honest about what they want and, more importantly, what they don’t want! We love to pamper our brides from start to finish and make them feel totally relaxed when making the big decision. We are always on hand to offer any advice and expertise.
Once a bride has selected her dress we finish off with accessories and a veil to really complete the look. For us, it’s most important to carry through our service until after the big day. We help with every single detail along the way from follow-up fittings and alterations and help manage any last-minute panics.
Bride2Be was recently approached by a bride who decided two weeks before her big day that the dress she bought online was not “the one”. We were able to get the crestfallen bride in and arranged for her perfect dress to be tailor fitted all within a two-week deadline. It was a fabulous experience to help the bride create her perfect dress and leave Bride2Be on cloud 9 after averting disaster!
How do you manage trust from your clients? After all, it is the most important day of their lives…
We really like to try and develop a relationship where every bride feels like the most important client we have and to make each wish our priority. We understand how much the experience of finding the right dress is so important to a bride and really enjoy the process with them. We like our brides to feel that we are on their team 100%.
If you could give one piece of advice to our readers (brides-to-be) what would it be?
♡ Give yourself plenty of time and don’t buy a dress two sizes smaller hoping to lose weight. It’s easy to alter if you do but you can’t make it bigger if you don’t!
♡ Rely on your bridesmaids!! Good friends are there to help take the stress out of planning a wedding.
♡ Relax and enjoy your magical day!
What budgets do you cater for?
Bride2Be offer a wide range across all price points to cater to the needs of all brides.
Lastly, why did you choose to list with www.brideclubme.com?
Apart from wanting to be part of the amazing Bride Club, I lived on the site whilst planning my own wedding and loved all that it had to offer. It’s a great inspiration for all brides-to-be, offering plenty of advice and helping them to plan their dream day.
