This week, we have the privilege of showcasing Daniela Corti, wedding planner and founder of Madreperla Wedding & Event Planning. How long has Madreperla Wedding been established and what do you do?

My wedding Italian planning agency launched about six years ago. After accumulating 20 years of experience working in tourism and hospitality, I decided to get certified as a wedding planner professional via the Wedding Planning Institute of California. I specialised in the field of weddings and events because they give me the opportunity to interact with people and to make their dreams a reality.

Can you describe your wedding planning style and approach to events.

My role as wedding planner consists of organising a perfect and memorable day for my couples, starting with an initial meeting, followed by choosing the ideal location and best event suppliers. As the bride and groom formulate their ideas and desires, I get busy creating a unique day full of emotion.

What do you love most about your work?

My favourite part of the job is helping couples achieve their dream wedding. When I receive compliments and thanks from the bride and groom and their parents … well … then I remember the reason I love this job.

For UAE-based brides thinking of marrying in Italy, how can you assist?

As well as helping brides to prepare the documents necessary for a civil or religious ceremony in Italy, I can assist with finding the perfect location. I will also research professional suppliers and be the go-to person for every need, so the couple can relax and enjoy the lead up to the wedding. My aim is to make sure brides get their dream Italian wedding. I am also able to fly to Dubai to plan Italian themed weddings, as I have a network of contacts in the UAE.

Do you have a preferred ceremony and / or reception location in Italy?

I like to organise my weddings in ancient Venetian palaces or in locations with breathtaking sea views on the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts. Venice and the coastal parts of Italy are the locations I love the most and I am happy to help my couples discover the wonders that my country (Italy) has to offer.  I can also offer wedding planning services in Milan, Portofino and Venezia.

Do you have any exciting projects/weddings coming up?

This year, I am very happy to have been invited to the second international Congress of Destination Wedding Planning, to be held in Mauritius in April. This event will bring together 100 of the best wedding planners in the world, and I feel excited and grateful to be participating.

If you could give one piece of advice to readers thinking of marrying in Italy, what would it be?

It will be an extraordinary experience of fun, beauty, history, nature and good hospitality … and I would be happy to accompany them on this wonderful journey! I, of course, recommend that couples hire a consultant or planner to assist them in planning a destination wedding.

I decided to list with Bride Club ME because its founder, Rhiannon (who I’ve had the chance to get to know personally), is a young and very determined woman, and a pleasure to work with. I have confidence in her and in her way of working.
