Real Dubai Bride Michelle Williams: A Stressful Month Of Wedding Planning

A Stressful Month Of Wedding Planning

From a productive May to a stressful June, our real Dubai bride Michelle Williams is certainly finding out that planning a wedding is not at all straightforward. Not only are there all the usual things to sort out, but as an expat, there tends to be a lot of paperwork as well.

Find out what Michelle has been up to this month (and learn how June has still had its good moments!) by reading her latest diary entry below. Enjoy!

Diary of Real Bride-MichelleW

This month has been a stressful time for myself and my fiancé. We’ve been trying to secure further wedding arrangements, paperwork and the legal side of things. We’re taking everything one step at a time and trying to juggle all of this along with our everyday lives and work schedules. Wedding planning isn’t all glitz and glam – it’s not until you plan your own wedding that you actually realise how much background work really goes in.

We fasted through Ramadan so it was a bit of a slow month for us, but, having said that, we’ve managed to send off for documents and seek some legal advice from local authorities.

After all the stress of the month, I had the delight of being chosen by Cube By Candylicious as their competition winner! I’m still in shock but very grateful indeed. I’d been checking out their Instagram page for a while and really liked the way their wedding favors were boxed and presented. Out of the blue, I was chosen for the 1000AED prize and I can’t thank enough Cube By Candylicious and Bride Club ME for choosing me. I’m really looking forward to checking out their store in Dubai Mall and finding out more!

We decided to treat ourselves and visit the Al Qasr Hotel at Madinat Jumeirah. It’s definitely one of my favorite places in Dubai and I recommend it to anyone looking to stay in a beautiful place with great views.

My bridal shower will be in four weeks and I can’t wait to escape the Dubai heat! I have 12 ladies coming and I’m super excited to be celebrating with my nearest and dearest in Marbella.

I look forward to sharing the ups the downs and the juicy gossip of the bridal shower in my next post. Thanks for reading!
