This Elegant Wedding Shoot At Bvlgari Resort Dubai Will Inspire Your Intimate Event
If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that true love conquers all. Many of our Bride Club ME readers will have postponed their wedding celebrations earlier this year but now that weddings are allowed to commence once again in Dubai, postponing and cancelling can happily be a thing of the past. If you are wondering how you can celebrate your wedding day in style with social restrictions and guest limitations in place, wedding planner and designer Elina Belkova, from Elegant Moment Wedding & Event Planner, is here to inspire you with a beautifully styled wedding shoot at the luxurious Bvlgari Resort Dubai, Jumeirah Bay Island, so you can carry on and plan the perfect wedding day of your dreams. Over to Elina…
A Note From The Wedding Planner
The idea for our elegantly-styled intimate wedding shoot at the Bvlgari Resort Dubai arose after we noticed that a lot of couples were postponing or even cancelling their big day because of their anxieties associated with having a “small” wedding. At Elegant Moment, we wanted to reassure our couples that they can still go forward with an intimate wedding without compromising their vision.
With a small-scale wedding, celebrating love in this way means that you get to bond with your closest family members and friends that attend. You also get to prioritise certain wedding details that you might otherwise compromise or overlook, and you get to feel more relaxed and comfortable on your big day with fewer eyes staring at you!
With this in mind, I understand why many of you might feel a bit hesitant to envision your big day surrounded by a limited number of guests. How do you decorate the tables? What kind of food and cake should you have? What kind of entertainment is suitable? Should you still wear the same amazing dress and standout jewellery that you had previously imagined? And the list goes on.
I want to show you that intimate weddings and events can look supremely elegant and feel even more luxurious when you focus on the details. So, instead of cancelling or postponing your big day, refocus your attention (and budget) on four or five wedding details that will create “wow factor” on your big day. These details could comprise flowers, venue, jewellery, tablescape décor or the wedding cake. For example, instead of having a traditional cake, why not go all out and have a twelve-tier cake that will add oomph to the décor and cake-cutting photos as well as be a tasty treat for guests?
Choosing the right venue is even more important than ever, and the exclusive Bvlgari Resort Dubai prides itself on delivering the highest standard of bespoke services to every single guest. From the privacy of in-room check-in and in-room dining to the luxury of a 24-hour personalised butler service, packing and unpacking services and Berluti shoeshine, the Bvlgari hotel’s amenities and staff go above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience that is discreet, first-class and exceptional in every way. Especially for a wedding, this hotel exudes luxury and class in every detail.
For our tablescape, Irina from Blossom Tree Flower Shop in JLT, Dubai, worked her magic to create a display that drew upon the sense of luxury offered by the hotel, whilst adding a touch of femininity and romanticism. Irina used white gerberas, chrysanthemums, coconuts, white corals and black candlesticks to create a contemporary feature running the length of the table. Her finishing touch was adding a delicate splash of colour with preserved pink limonium blossoms. The contrast between the light colours of the coral and flowers with the dark candles and coconuts created a stunning masterpiece on the marble table.
To enrich the table, we added whitewashed rattan show plates provided by Party Social, topped with classic white dinner plates and complemented with beige napkins that matched the chic suede beige chairs. Adding a creative touch to the food styling, we filled some of the coconuts with strawberries, blueberries and bougainvillaea flowers to brighten the setup.
Our gorgeous bride, Inga Pasviestyte, wore a mermaid wedding gown designed by White One Bridal, provided by Vanila Wedding Boutique Dubai. The sleek and sexy wedding dress with a plunge neckline and back showed off our bride’s curves and beauty while maintaining her elegance. Furthermore, the simplicity of the Aiko gown allowed us to go all out with some amazing statement jewellery pieces from Maximilian London’s diamond and emerald collection, which matched Inga’s eyes perfectly. Talk about looking and feeling like a million dollars!
Our bride’s hair was natural and understated. Stylist Ludmila Yena created gorgeous soft curls and styled them to one side in order to highlight the gown’s plunging back. For Inga’s makeup, Fatma Majid created a soft, classic and sultry bridal look. According to Fatma, this makeup style is one of her more popular looks as it tends to suit all skin tones since it can be customised and made darker or lighter with a chocolate bronze or a shade of pink.
As for the bride’s bouquet, we created two unique circular styles. The first bouquet featured a trendy style using preserved fern and amaranthus while the second bouquet was more playful and feminine, created using gerberas and fern. Over the past few months, we have seen wedding day ferns growing in popularity, so it is safe to say that this trend will continue to be fashionable in 2021.
And last but definitely not least: the cake! If you are anything like me, you’ll know that cake is a definite must-have at any wedding. Not only can you incorporate your wedding cake into the décor, but a creative cake makes for some amazing pictures if it’s designed properly. Since our main colour theme for this wedding was white, The Sugar Hub designed a gorgeous yet simple white fondant cake accessorised with white gerberas and white ferns while pink limoniums added a dash of happy colour and tied the cake into the tablescape décor beautifully.
Thanks also to Valery Studio for the wedding photography, in collaboration with Anastasia Zharkova for the videography, for capturing the elegant essence of the day. I hope this classy, contemporary wedding day will inspire you to go ahead with your wedding celebrations no matter how many guests can attend. Happy planning!
