Underwater Love

We discovered these hauntingly beautiful images by Adam Opris via our favourite social media platform Instagram and immediately fell in love with them! Wedding photography is a romantic art form and judging by Adam’s quote below, it’s clear that he is not only ridiculously talented, but a romantic too.

I have discovered passion twice in my life.  The first time I felt this was when I fell in love with the woman of my dreams.  She still has the ability to take my breath away every day.  The second instance was when I realized the world I saw through the lens of my camera.

The underwater images bring a new, artistic touch to the ‘trash the dress’ trend, and we can’t get enough of them!  For the brides who shoot in the ocean, safety is always Adams number one concern.

I have safety divers providing them air as well as guidance. We strap custom weight belts to their legs to make them overcome buoyancy and stay in place. For the brides, I shoot in pools and we just go without air and with no weights. We rely on the freedom of full range motion to surface, swim, and pose at will! Both environments create an unimaginable, ever-changing situation for art to be created! I use a Canon 5D Mark II camera with an Ikelite Housing for all of my underwater work. I also use a GoPro for behind the scenes video!
