Posh by Feryal Salon, Burj Al Arab – Bridal Hair and Makeup Review.

- Location and salon:
Located at the iconic 7 star hotel; the Burj al Arab, I was invited along by Posh to test out their bespoke bridal hair and make-up combination package, after sending through some hair style ideas and wedding make up inspirations prior to my appointment.
The salon its self is pleasantly chic for an establishment located in the Burj Al Arab; simplistic, and classy in its decor.
- The experience:
I had been introduced to the lovely Asel, who would be my dedicated hair stylist and makeup artist. Asel has made up many a bride to be in her time and reviewed my inspiration pictures in detail prior to my appointment.
First, we started with the wedding make-up. My inspiration for wedding make-up is a light, romantic and dewy look; soft pink lips, beiges and gold’s on the eye lids and a natural blush sweep across the cheeks. I did not want anything overstated. Unfortunately I can’t post pictures of the final outcome, as I am a bride-to-be myself, and whilst I’d love to show the world my intentions for my wedding, something’s must be left for the big day! Let’s just say after a remarkably quick process, I was pleased with the outcome.

Asel, managed to capture the look I was after; and to top it all off, she applied some fabulously natural looking false lashes to my upper lid, completing the look.
Next, onto the hair! Now I am undecided as to what hair style I would like for my wedding day, so Asel and I mutually agreed to try a half up and half down doo, loose; with natural looking curls, and a little volume up top. My hair had been washed the night before, and I remember reading somewhere, that it’s actually better to not wash your hair on the day of the wedding as the hair will be harder to keep in place!
After around 30 minutes of tonging and curling, Asel, started to pin up my locks, creating a sweep to the left side of my shoulder, my hair looked so long, luscious and after a generous helping of hairspray and a few tweaks to the top of my hair adding volume, we were done.

I was extremely happy with the flow of curls and the overall look, however, I felt the finish could have been a little better, I expect nothing but perfection for my actual wedding day and pins were showing in places they shouldn’t have been. I will admit, that I was a little rushed, and I think I may have hurried along Asel; with the hair too. This may have played a factor, along with the fact that we did not have any beautiful accessories to play with or flowers that could be conveniently placed on the hair covering any unsightly pins. The look was gorgeous though and with a little more time to play with, we could have reached that bridal perfection.

Hello Soua’d
Thank you for your comment and we are glad you enjoyed the review :)
We can only comment on the Burj Al Arab Salon, as we have yet to review any services at the Address Downtown Salon. If we do, we will notify you. Our experience at the Burj Al Arab was good, but be specific in regards to what you are looking for when you make an appointment, so the make up artist and hair stylist are fully briefed. Also, it may be an idea to request a trial.
Good luck.
