Bridal Hair Prep For Wedding Day Wins
Here at Bride Club, we’ve gone through as many things beauty as possible before addressing the ultimate face-framer; the hair! And there’s no better opportunity for the best hair day of your life than with big-day bridal hair. So to have the best look for one of the most memorable days of your life, Laure, our resident beauty expert and MUA, has put together a list of winning products that I’ve tried and tested for my lovely BCME readers for the past few months.
Hi Bride Clubbers! I’m so excited to introduce you to my recent hair care finds that are perfect for maintaining your signature bridal look throughout the celebrations, dancing, tears and cheers. Here they are…
Silky and Glowing
The sun, dust and air conditioning in the UAE can turn your locks lack-lustre, dry and brittle. So just like you would prepare your skin with a fancy facial or special mask, you should also give your hair the same attention and great by getting rid of dryness or split ends before your wedding.
With that being said, I have just discovered an amazing product from the hair care brand ‘Miriam Quevedo’. The Barcelona-based founder applies a clean-beauty philosophy to every product she creates for her customers, but also to reduce the environmental impact of the beauty industry on our world. Each of the Miriam Quevedo ranges targets a specific hair concern and ‘The Glacial White Caviar Collection’ is the magic wand to hydrate your hair and reduce scalp sensitivity – an important factor for brides choosing hair accessories or extensions.
My favourite product of the range is the Glacial White Caviar Hydra-Pure Precious Elixir. You apply the serum on damp or dry hair to give your tresses some major luminosity!
You can find Miriam Quevedo at Faces.com
They can do a complete hair analysis to advise you on the best products and range based on your hair conditions. For more information, contact Soraya at Pearl Tree on +971(0)56 764 9639
Volumize and Strong
If you feel your hair getting weak, work on strengthening the strands so that it will hold the style the hair artist will create for you. You will want to start prepping for this as far in advance as you can by using hair care with added hyaluronic acid.
I recommend Abril et Nature. It’s a new brand in the market and they’re making a lot of noise with a range drenched in Hyaluronic acid & Argan Oil to add moisture as well as boost its shine and elasticity with the bonus of caviar extract, an anti-oxidant – all the great ingredients for an ultimate shine on your wedding day.
You can find Abril et Nature at Faces.com
The above products are my shining stars of big day hair care, but I have a few loyal products that never let me down and do great things, worth sharing. Here are the 2 products that I’d also recommend having in your bathroom cabinet in the lead up to your wedding:
Hair Care Staple #1
If you are pro-organic beauty and want to use products with natural ingredients in the preparation of your big day, IXORA is the brand for you. Their Phyto Hair Mask treats hair damage and strengthens its roots with a concentrated formula of Argan Oil, organic avocado oil and pomegranate seed oil – all strong antioxidants that help to regenerate the hair’s cuticle layer, leaving your hair shiny and silky.
Hair Care Staple #2
Yes! You want to treat yourself including your hair before your big day and no, you don’t want to add damage on your wedding day. To protect against the elements of hairsprays, tugging and long sessions on the dance floor, you will need La Crème 230. Pack it in your bridal bag and give it to your hairstylist. This miraculous product from Hair Rituals by Sisley will restore, nourish and protect your hair to feel stronger, look silkier and be full of beauty for your hairstylist to create your dream doo. After using this product, your hair will still look amazing and shiny for a couple of days after, even after a shampoo.
You can find it on Sisley-paris.com as well as at Harvey Nichols, Mall of Emirates.
