A Moroccan-Inspired Dubai Destination Wedding By Fabulous Day Weddings & Events
August is usually a quiet time for UAE-based weddings thanks to the blistering summer heat. However, those who have their heart set on a wedding during the summer months actually have a number of grandiose indoor options available, thanks to the prevalence of five-star hotels in Dubai and beyond. Today’s real wedding, planned by our vendors Fabulous Day Weddings & Events, took place on 12th August 2016 at the luxurious Waldorf Astoria, The Palm.
Looking at the pictures and the décor (which involved several BCME vendors), one would never guess that the temperatures outside were in the high 40s. Instead, we are captivated by a glowing display of gold and pink, a dazzling bride and an undoubtedly sizzling atmosphere. Proof indeed that weddings here do not necessarily have to take place during the cooler months! This real wedding is perfect for those readers looking for inspiration for indoor venues and demonstrates how to turn a ballroom into something unique and special to the both of you. After all, that’s what your big day is about!
Below, Masha Cain from Fabulous Day Weddings & Events talks us through this destination wedding and how she helped to bring the couple’s vision to life. Enjoy!
A Note From The Wedding Planner
Back in August, we had the pleasure of helping our lovely couple plan their dream day. Both the Bride and Groom live outside of the UAE, so this was a destination wedding for them. However, the entire planning process was fun and stress-free.
Our bride already had an idea of the colour scheme that would run throughout the big day, and so we helped develop the theme further by combining soft hues with shimmering gold. We also added a touch of Moroccan culture with hand made tagines that were filled with delicate treats and spiced the evening up with Khaleeji Zaffeh and a soul spinning Tanoora.
A wedding day is a reflection of the couple’s souls, and this was a beautiful celebration filled with laughter, happy tears, and dancing. There is no better reward to a wedding planner than driving away late at night with a big smile knowing how successful “THIS” day was.
