The Final Preparations
It’s go time for our real Dubai bride Michelle Williams, who is just a month away from her big day! In her penultimate post, Michelle reveals what she has been up to this month in terms of the final preparations for her Dubai wedding. Read on to find out more!
The wedding is fast approaching and we’ve managed to get a lot of the last bits done, along with a pre-wedding photo shoot, a meeting with the wedding celebrant, table planning, bridesmaid gift shopping and more! This month myself and Sam have arranged the table plan for our guests, and we’re happy it’s finally done! I also tried on my dress with all of the accessories and veil, and just can’t wait to wear it on the day!
I met up with the lovely Theresa, our wedding celebrant. We spoke about the service, our vows, prayers and sentimental elements that mean a lot to us. I can’t help but get tearful knowing how lucky I am to have such a supportive woman marrying us on our special day. Theresa kindly explained everything and we spoke about how I wish for my Dad to give me away. If any of you brides to be out there are looking for someone with a real genuine passion for love, marriage and support, Theresa is your lady!
Myself and Sam did a pre-wedding photo shoot/videography with the amazing Munira at August Studios. We went out on the green at Arabian Ranches Golf Club and sat by the lake during the afternoon and golden hour. It was a pretty awesome experience; everything just felt so natural between Sam and I – we enjoyed the day a lot! Munira has fifteen years of experience and was very polite, flexible and accommodating to our needs. We have selected Munira as our Videographer for the big day and we couldn’t be happier. I will feature Munira in our social media posts and again when I write my final post about the wedding itself.
If you remember, a few posts back, I was lucky enough to win a very special prize through Candylicious. I will be going in the next couple of weeks to collect our sweet treats for the guests.
Finally, everything is coming together…
The florist and flower arrangements have been made which we did through Baby Ross flowers in Al Barsha Mall. We’ve ordered bouquets for the bridesmaids, my bouquets, centrepieces, loose rose petals, a wedding arch and more floral decor.
It’s an extremely emotional time knowing that my family will be here for the first time in a matter of weeks! Throughout all of the saving, the planning and the ups and downs, this journey has been a great experience and even though it has been stressful at times, I’ll be a little sad when it’s over.
There are a few more little things to do so I will be posting my final diary of a real bride next month and then the rest will be history! You’ll also hear from me about the actual wedding, the day and how it all went.
Once we say I do, a few days later we’ll be jetting off to Bali for our honeymoon and we can’t wait!
Thanks again, and see you next month for the last diary of a real bride post!
