We’re already halfway through 2021 and yes! It’s time we talk about trends – The beginning of this year has been a rollercoaster for our lovely couples with wedding celebrations jumping between authorized – restricted – and all that came in between, creating turbulent times and impacting on the way brides approach their celebrations as they look towards a simpler ‘plan’. A ‘plan’ that has also translated into 2021 bridal makeup trends too.
In this month’s article our Bridal Beauty Expert, Laure Sejean, is shedding light on the #1 trend that’s developed since the outset of 2021.
Hi, Bride Clubbers! I’m excited to share with you the biggest bridal beauty trends I’ve seen overdevelop over the past six months, that I believe will be here to stay for the near future. Most of the brides that I have met and worked with this year are steering clear of a huge transformation, and are instead opting to reflect their true selves in the best light for that little something extra that gives the bridal wow factor. The most defining elements of these looks are an overall soft and natural aesthetic, here are some examples that I love most:
Flawless but Natural Skin
More than any other year, 2021 has brought simplicity in the way brides want their skin to look. And it all rests upon a great and thorough pre-game to your skincare routine – and as I always say, preparation of your skin is key to get well-blended results from your makeup artist.

Rosy Freshness
An ever-growing popular request from my brides is for a fresh look that brings out their youth. The easiest way to achieve this is with a pink hue with a touch of shimmer on the eyes to make them pop, followed-up with extended lashes to create a sultry glam look, and pink on the cheeks with a pink/nude lip to seal the freshness of youth into your face.
Here are some of the makeup looks illustrating the above:

A Lifted Bridal Eye
Going for a lifted eye will always flatter no matter the hairstyle or type of dress you decide on.
There’s no doubt in my mind that when looking for this kind of makeup inspo, you will end up with a few Hindash looks – the ‘King of Lifted Eyes’. He achieves this by focusing on the outer corner of the eyes – lifting with eyeliner, warm/dark eyeshadow and individual lashes on the outer corner to create depth – winners for such a glam look.

All Glammed for an unforgettable day
Some brides do still want to be in full-glam and feel like a Hollywood star, and indeed you should, it’s your wedding – a day when all eyes will be on you. So why not combine all of the above looks to create your own.
Lifted smokey effect eyes with defined eyelashes, luminous skin that has well contoured and perfectly blended, a shimmery body for the light to hit all the right spots and give this red carpet Hollywood vibe.
